Anyway in respone to the question; anything and everything is possiable. Recognition is the door-way to discovery wether it be a rumor or fiction. To think that we are the only inteligent life in the whole universe, which is I'm sure far larger than we can fathem, is such a conditioned thought. That is what keeps us from evolving to a higher conscious state. So to answer the question from my point of view, yes and there is far more dimensions and possibilities than we are able to grasp at this point in time.
