In the new plan, social security payments will not go up with inflation, thus those on social security will have cuts in their rates and getting less each year. Obama's big brain buster to help the people? Go figure, and the trillions spent since January could have made every single person in the USA a millionaire, but nobody saw a dime except autocompanies and foriegn banks who were bailed out including 100 million sent to Mexico to help fight the drug war. The Government and Obama could care less about Americans.

How true your statement is . It hurts me to think of all the senior citizens that haft to take a Back seat to some forein dictator . A war in afganistan . Healthcare reform .some Bankers that won't even report where they embezzeled all the money to. Or a car Maker. These are our most precious and Loved group of people in our country and we treat them like dirt .

You are right...Think also of all those wounded soldiers who've been sent to Iraq and Afghanistan. What are they coming home to?

I think he's been just a little bit busy, with trying to keep the economy from going into a Great Depression, a continuing war against terrorism and stuff. There's also the goal of getting some kind of decent health care reform passed this year and that's not going too well so far... if you're on Social Security you probably are on Medicare as well if I understand correctly so at least you have that which is more than I and far too many others have (health care wise).
Point being, there's only so many fires anybody can stamp out at one time. See his hands? They're hands, not wands... he can't just wave them and make everything perfect! LOL!
SS hasn't gone broke and isn't likely to be allowed to go broke, at least for the time being. My generation will likely never see a penny of what we've paid into it however which really suxs but oh well.

I will likely never see social security but what I have seen is very bad . In Michagan there is talk of elderly living on dog food because they can't affor to buy proper food. As far as haveing to many priorities our eldrly should be our Priority. I don't want to get into what I believe about Mr Obama'a priorities. I am ex Millitary also and when I see the plight of the returning GI's it breaks my heart I work with a lot of ex Millitary. several that I was working with have taken there own lives. The VA was overwhelmed and they couldn't get the help they needed. I am sorry to say I should have cought the sign"s of one, He talked to me about all the problems he was haveing at home . He had recieved a phone call form his Wife saying she couldn't take any more and was leaving him. we talked for quite some time after he left he went home got his gun and went to a Boat Launch and ended his life . He told me when He left he was going to get some help. Then to see all the senior citizens that are now starting to get very scared . I talked to one Lady nearly 100 years old she has spent her savings and rely's on social security Her daughter won't let her near the news when she haerd about social security failing she started crying. He daughter is also on social security. It is getting very serious whit these people now

Actually, he has been very busy taking vacations, flying all over the world at a cost of about 60K per hour, and seeing to it those who funded his campaign profit very well..
