Would you move to another country for love?
Thats a given. My job is portable. Material possessions can be disposed of in one location and re-acquired in another. My study is portable. My daughter is grown and independant and would love an excuse to travel and bludge off me in another country. I have family on several continents. And finally love does conquer all..
RoeDeVinna: just wondering would u pack up an leave ur life for love
Well I met my baby cakes here and if everything works out then I'll be going to Texas with him. So my answer is yeah, I would definitely pack up and leave my life for love

inwestend: Of course. And I probably will.
But I'd think twice if I had to return to a nasty climate. Or go back to England.
I moved to Italy from the UK, for the love of my wife and family... She dumped me for an Italian 18 months ago.
Met a girl in the UK recently, who I was looking to change my life for, yet again...... Going back to the sunny UK was not a prospect I relished, but for love yes..... and it also meant leaving my children here in Italy !
Hard decision, but I made it........ things fell apart a month ago... so here I am... still in Italy trying to get over it.

Travel all over and let them visit you occasionally and then hopefully you'll not see anybody long enough to either break your heart or their's!

Good philosophy Robert and one I will be sticking to for quite a while.

It's not an ideal situation, but I can honestly say that visiting friends and having friends visit you and enjoying each other's company is better than going straight from the frying pan into the fire without a chance to heal properly emotionally.
A friend is writing a book about the implications of superlongevity; it's like that people being born now will live to be 150 years old.
The social and economic effects will be huge.
Could you imagine, on the relationship side, getting married to somebody at the age of 20 and spending the next 130 years with that person? Maybe - if it was a marriage made in Heaven, but I fear that very few are!

Yes, but only move to another country for both love and marriage, as u hv to give up all your career at home country, come to a very diffenrent country and hv to start everthing from the beginning point with empty hands.

I wonder if it's realistic to get married at 20 or so and spend the next 50 years with someone, let alone 130
People change .. no one's the same at 30,40,50 etc as they were at 20
definitely, i can work/teach anywhere and i am very adaptable. Alaska and Canada is out of the question though. I am a tropical girl so i have very little tolerance for extreme weather!!!

I came to live in Spain as thats what my (now) ex wanted, though I have to admit I didnt want to....funny thing is, he hated it, I loved it, and when we split he went back to the UK...
so Yes I would (except the UK) ....but it would have to be somewhere warm like here, and I would have to bring my horses...
