Whats ur belief about a relationship between two people who are geographically separated? Although, new advanced technology has transformed the world to Global Village but there maybe some risks or disbeliefs. What do u think?
I think writing letters (e-mails) can build a trust but there are times when you finally meet the person, and he/she hurts your feelings or nags you or tries to boss you, you realize the relationship is not going to be a good one. Still, I am willing to travel great distances to meet people and I enjoy visiting new places. I do hope to meet my match, best friend and mate but until then, I will still try to go to many new places wherever I can.

It takes special people to pull off an LDR. The levels of trust and patience must be very high. Not everyone can pull it off. It's not a bad thing when a couple can't quite cope with an LDR. It doesn't make either of them untrusting or untrustworthy. It simply means that an LDR is not for them. Sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn't.
My parents maintained an LDR for about 50 years while he was a truck driver. Dad was home every weekend, so it wasn't so bad. My ex drove truck for many years and was home for 48 hours every 3 to 5 weeks. My girls and I survived. When he became a commercial electrician, he was gone the same amount of time. We were married 23 years.

the matter of distance geographically can be overcome. but it may be bit difficult with cultural barriers and attitudes.
yes I believe in but you need to be strong and need to trust in each other and it may not last forever that wouldn't be working for me at least there must be a sight of moving together, when you're sure about that your love will last forever

I am presently giving one a try. He is about a 12 hour drive from me so not too bad. I think there are always risks even if you aren't long distance.
Big_John: At best they are extremely hard. Most will not work. The two people must be really committed to make a LDR happen.
I THINK A LOCAL ONE IS HARD ENOUGH, NOT IN A BAD WAY, JUST THAT PEOPLE R SO BUSY, EVEN LIVING CLOSE,IT HAS TO BE WORKED ON AT MANY LEVELS,BUT ALOT BETTER IN MY OPINION THAN A LDR
Yes, I have no doubt in my mind, that they can work if "both" are interested enough. We do have Examples on cs, that this has happened! I would´nt even be on the Site if I did´nt believe in this. I also enjoy Reading and sometimes participating in Forums, in which I have made GREAT Friends!
