If you approach an interesting woman, you have to make her interested in you. That means you need to do anything but ask her on a date.

Of course you should be to, as long as you're being a gentleman and polite, not just to her but the girls she went out with.. Try to make conversations with her friends too, eventhou' we know you only have eyes on her, that's obvious :) Just goes on to show you're worth our friend's time cause you're a gentleman..

No, it means that asking for a date is transparent and will get you shooed away. If you have something interesting and relevant to say to her,I think that would win more brownie points than asking for a date.
