Many people face this same anxiety, but then they are fine around their close friends. What's the difference? Being comfortable and to put ourselves into different situations can make us uncomfortable at first, but gets easier with practice. Start with situations where it isn't a potential date - getting more comfortable will build confidence. Please don't fool yourself that its only YOU either, there are many who have the same moments.
davpk10: Some beliefs about men and this calling thing is I am sure true ...but not always I think.... I for one am not a phone person ...I really would not call ,if you called me thats fine...however I would make a point to email or stop by your home to invite you out however....
I just simply am not a phone person...
interesting observation Dave, as I am getting ready to move and I'm considering not having a phone at all. I do almost everything from email and I talk to my kids on Messenger (which is another reason - other than scammers - that I won't give out my ID - it's strictly for me & family and 1 or2 very close friends). But anyway, ur observation clicked when I read it. Now I'm wondering if anyone else has simply given up voice communication altogether for messenger services

hey Solstice - haven't seen u in awhile!
I agree about on all night stuff. I once had a gentleman friend fall asleep at his machine had to wake him up to say good night - and it WAS almost good morning!

this is how u know that u have found someone special - she will everything she can to ease ur mind and make it easy for u to talk to her. It goes both ways. I love a guy who does the same for me. That's a true connection.
rohaan: Hi Dobes--I believe that you can pretty much tell if he's going to call or not. Also, if he is honest and comes right out and says that he doesn't plan to, then he's a jerk, in most people's eyes.(He can't win for losing, so he makes a graceful exit with lying- saying he will call.) If he's really going to call, he'll be hesitant and downright reluctant to end the date--you can tell if you're paying attention. If your date is on the cell phone or distracted very much (looking around, etc... making conversation with other people) then probably not a very good sign. JMO
doberman3: When I hear this, I think either he will or won't. If he is really interested he will.
I guess women think the guy should call if he says he will. But we know, don't count on it.
Just wondering what is going on in CS guys minds about this, also, CS women.
I am not waiting for a call either. Just curious.

Dont take anything too serious untill you see they can be taken seriously..That way you dont get disappointed or your hopes dashed if the guy flakes out..
