I was totally bald 4 yrs ago (and not just head hair either
) due to chemo sessions for 6 mths and was astounded by the amount of folks (friends and family mostly) who said I had a lovely shaped head 
true story btw
and will get the all clear early nxt yr, so no dramas now 
it was a good party trick when the turban came off too!!

the health thing is all good now but prefer to have hair these days... Italians have gr8 hair... well at least this one does anyway

My best friend has had chemo several times. When her hair fell out several years ago, she hated to wear a hot itchy wig to work, so we all got together and donated hats, put fake things on them and she wore them to work.
My favorite was the Chiquita Banana hat with a bandanna under it and fake bananas on top.
Her clients loved it and it made it easier for her.
Hopefully she will get the all clear this year.

When my youngest daughter was 16 (she's now almost 25), I finally gave in to her pestering. She had been begging for 2 years to have me shave her head. She had blonde hair halfway down her back. We went to my mother's to borrow the clippers. I sat her down on the back porch and asked if she was sure this was what she really wanted. She told me to just do it already! I started and watched that beautiful hair falling away (sort of like Demi Moore in GI Jane). By the time we were done, most of the neighborhood was crowded around the porch. Everyone was telling me what a horrid mother I was for doing that to my daughter.
I was actually shocked at the way she looked when we were done. She has the most perfectly shaped head I've ever seen. Her shaved head actually emphasized her big gray eyes and made her look more feminine than she did with her long hair. Everyone who saw her in the 6 months she kept it shaved told her how nice it looked. She was pleased as punch with it.
Her hair is now down her back again and she's contemplating having me shave her head once more. She now has 3 small children and doesn't have the time or the energy to mess with long hair.

My first thought is that it's some poor soul who's suffering and undergoing chemo.
Bull Lesbians tend to have a lot of other signs if they are shaven headed - from footwear to shirts with typically a few tats thrown in.
I seem to see a lot more cancer sufferers than extremist bull lesbians.

If my partner lost her hair to chemotherapy, I'd probably say nothing at all and just shave my head, too, as a show of support, acceptance and love. I'd say nothing because I wouldn't want an objection to get in the way of doing what I think would be right and my hair would grow back, too, LOL. :)

i think any woman who manages to carry herself well without hair, must be oozing with confidence and boldness. Always wished to have my hair shaved just to get rid of all the rituals of hair care but not bold enough to do so.
