Fair play to anyone else brave enough to have them but I've never ever wanted them, never will consider it let alone actually do it. I've too much to do in my life, too many places to go, too many things to see to let something like kids get in the way of all of that.
That's the great thing about life - we're all entitled to do what we want - well in regard to having kids anyways, maybe not everything (before I get jumped on for that one!!) Fair play to anyone having them or wanting to have them and equally fair play to those who don't want to either.

I respect your decision, that is better than having them out of pressure or because everyone assumes that all women want kids, when that is not necessarily so. At least you know what you want from life and are going for it.

Thanks Witty - I'm not a very girly or womanly person and kids just totally don't fit into my life or what I want in my life. I get schtick all the time for it aswell. I've been accused of being a man before and can't have kids so I'm just saying it?!?! WTF?? People can be really aggressive about the issue aswell saying that I hate humanity just cos I dont want kids - which is actually the complete opposite. I dont want to birth kids - I think IF I met someone who it was a dealbreaker for I could agree to adoption (big big supporter of that!) but I'd never ever actually HAVE them. There's too many unwanted kids in foster care, etc in this world - those are the ones that need love and attention and homes instead of thinking your genetics are superior so just popping them out one after another.

I agree. I have some very close friends who 'don't know'. They are married 6 years and still 'don't know'! I think if you really can't decide you just don't want kids. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Nobody should have kids if they don't want them.

I would see that as positive. Looks like I am possibly right in thinking guys are just not being honest when filling in profiles. I think it's better to just be honest and you might have a chance of meeting the right person you could have a future with (assuming you want more than a quick fling).

i think you're reading too much in to being 'honest'
the question on your (3rd person) profile is a very personal one for many, so alot of people put not sure since they have no choice but to answer
i imagine alot of the 'not sures' do indeed want kids someday

id be more inclined to put 'some day' rather than 'not sure' as being 21yrs old id prefer not to have kids or should i say i dont want kids for at least another 10yrs sure i'd be lost without my independence, doing what i want, going where i want, the world really is my oyster..anyway i have 2 brothers who are 21 months old, its like having my own kids without all the responsibility

My profile here say I want kids some day and it clearly say I want to meet a guy who wants kids. However, I only using this site for the forum now. When I get e-mails I read the profile to decide if I will reply or not. I particularly look out for dealbreakers. How else are you supposed to know who you might like or be suited to!!! It just wastes peoples time otherwise.

trust me it was a teriible date , i was dying for a ciggaret at the end of the date , everytime i sparked up he went on about cancer and other health issues !! date from hell !!
