inprint: Hi, I have noticed that a lot of guys answer 'not sure' to the 'do you want kids' question on there profile. I definately want kids someday (provided I meet the right guy) so don't reply to these guys. This really narrows down my options!

i wouldn't take too much heed from somebody saying not sure on their profile. my guess is that most of them want kids, to be honest its quite a personal thing to have to say on a profile, i can understand people being quite coy about it

I know it's personal but if your not honest in your profile your just going to end up meeting people you aren't suited to. I just don't want to get involved with someone if there is definately no future in it. Not wanting kids is a deal breaker for me.

yes but you can find out soon enough after meeting someone if they want kids. don't limit your options

Too Old to have any more kids ,even though in one sense i would love to its not fair on the kids...

inprint: I've a friend who broke up with her ex after 6 years because he only told her then that he didn't want kids. I thought it was a horrible thing to lead her to think he did up until then.
but do you think if she was being honest she new this all along but was afraid to admit it for fear of being alone?

i'd be surprised if that was the case. i mean i've never met someone who could successfully hide something without it showing on their face
my guess is that he wanted to have kids, but not with her
or he never wanted to have kids in the first place
either way, i'd be very surprised if the signs weren't there for her to see
nothing against your friend, we all make errors of judgement thats what makes us human, it's easy to blame others but if your friend wants to move on i imagine it's important she looks at herself for the answer. that's inevitably where it lies

Just not something I'd ever be interested in doing personally. My life has too much direction and purpose I feel to 'waste' my time with them. Kids are great for other people and all that - just not something I'd ever wanna do. JMO (and I know I'm alone in it!) So I can sorta understand how guys put that answer on their profiles.

Been there, done that. I have more kids than most people and it would be just crazy for me to start again. To be sure I don't end up with another, I've had my tubes clipped.

maybe by saying not sure they are being honest. Perhaps they dont want children right now but dont actually know how they will feel in years to come. I find it is a very personal question for a profile

I dont think its a personal question at all. When a guy reaches 30 he should know if he wants them or not and be honest about it.
