My 'Gut Instinct' says if that's the case get off the site. If you've made friends on it, add them to your Facebook.
However the forums can be fun and if someone was really desirous of staying because of them, I'd have to trust her and let her get on with it. And if she was both rampant and cuddly towards me, I'd have no insecurities.
