According to another country (I won't mention which), America is the worst country as far as health, education & crime. Provided, I have seen some instances of this first-hand, but I get verrrrry very very defensive when other countries judge us this way as a whole! As far as I see, the whole world itself has its issues.
*exhale*
Okay, I just needed to vent. Everyone have a fabulous Monday!

Olsojente: I know, I see them cheating on their taxes here...
NOW that does take intelligence to be able to do that! I would say Monaco and Lichtenstein... both have very restricted immigration and no illegal immigrant problems; their financial status is beyond question 2 of the best stable in the world and have no currency problems whatsoever and to top it off, neither is a democracy, which also includes Luxembourg but they are far too dependent on the Euro to be totally safe and do not have as strong control over illegals entering and basically squatting and expecting welfare...I would also mention France as they (and now Scotland) have enacted legislation that recognizes housing for all its people as a fundamental basic human right. Others will follow but are bogged down with all the details as to how to acknowledge that principle and actually put it into practice. It will be expensive and with the current financial ups and down, it is going to be a possibly 'long time' until they can cope with what will be expected...
