That is true about Obama and Australia RayfromUSA

My best friend lives in Cessnock, Australia. We talk back and forth about President Obama, but it falls on deaf ears. She is convinced that Obama is God.

Obama Cabinet choices: I have no problem with Hillary Clinton, she is sharp. Hillary will run against Obama in the primaries.

My main concern is that no Conservatives are in his Cabinet; only Liberal. That is why bi-partisanship in not working in USA.

Our Fore Fathers based the United States as a Republic, not a Democracy. thumbs up

People, notice the change in accent Obama uses. No American President has ever done that before. To me, that is a slap in the face of Americans.

I've already posted 3 times on The recovery of Gabrielle Giffords. 3 times is the limit for CS, but I also post 3 times here.

Gabrielle is getting better day by day. Not only did she smile at her husband Mark Kelly, American Astronaut, Gabby rubbed his neck for 10 minutes. This is an incredible woman.

I was not sure how to take your comment either way and that is OK. You can have him if you want? Truth is that most Americans want rid of him. Many Americans want stronger leadership than Obama provides. You can see from the poll that most people grade him an "F".

katt1017: Dear Mrs. Obama:

This is to inform you that your son Barry has been failing many of his courses.

While I am sure that he has been telling you that he is the brightest child in school and, that he fully believes this to be true, he is not proving it is so through his actions.

Barry is an intelligent young man and would be quite capable of doing the work as well as maintaining a good grade average if he would apply himself to his studies. Unfortunately he instead seems to believe he can succeed on charm and smooth talking alone.

You really need to help break him out of these unproductive thought patterns or he may become a politician or worse, a liberal politician.

Judge for yourselves on this. Obama claims to be Christian under the wing of Jeremiah Wright for 20 years.

And then he makes these speeches. In my opinion, he is talking out of both sides of his mouth and has sold America out.

Not meant to offend anyone of Muslim faith, but Obama has never admitted his true faith to the American people. We as American's would accept that, if he would be forthcoming and honest about it.

Personally I think Obama has been ham stringed at every corner.

But the list seems self evident where the Bush Republican interests were focused... corporate profit and to hell with the health and welfare of most American people... that was his first year alone... then we had the wars he created and the corporate bailouts etc. doh

But now it's all the lefts fault? roll eyes

ham strung roll eyes .... if his thoughts were ever pure in the first place, maybe dunno , personally I think he got more of the reality of who actually runs the government than he bargained for... and now is just wading, trying to keep head above the deluge of attack... neutralized.

It's worked before and it's working again. Typical right wing tactics, if it's not advantageous to shoot the opposition then you can at least nullify them.

This is an older thread that just came to attention again.

I didn't bring it back up myself, but there seems to be new interest. Most people in the United States are "Conservative" just right of center. Any poll will show you that.

I have stated this before: The object of Politics is to bring the Left and Right to a more central position. That is why we have Congress and elected officials to argue for us, no matter which side you are on. This is again called "Gridlock".

The Left and Right in Politics will never totally agree; only a consensus can be formed to make a more perfect union.

Politics is a dangerous game between people. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. We are all different people with different opinions; however, we can all be friends and get along with differing views.

President Obama's popularity ratings rose this week. Can anyone explain why or is this only temporary?

In Politics, we are sometimes like stray cats.

I think he and his staff did a poor job of keeping the electorate informed of the good things he accomplished and the progress being made. Unfortunately for him, he kept his cards close and failed to trumpet his achievements. He and the Democrats won on a landslide so perhaps he didn't think he had to keep up with the "campaign" after he won.

I think other than that he's done very well, particularly in foreign policy and health care. The winding down of the wars is mostly out of his control but he's still on track with that. Getting out of Vietnam was difficult too. I think we're doing better with this conflict than we did way back then.

If he unleashed the Stuxtnet on Iran instead of bombing the place that's a plus for him. The bombs might be needed eventually but right now I can still buy gasoline and there's not a flood of Iranians landing in America with a huge yen for revenge. If he stays the course Iran will eventually get to an agreement and the sanctions will end.

Health care... I don't know. When I was young I never went to the Doctor but paid for my health insurance. Now I want to see service from my doctor and less expensive out of pocket copays and drugs. The young today don't want to pay their share unless they are sick, or so it seems. But the health care reform is passed and it has some hopeful features that may reduce or control the inflation in health care. It costs me $10,000 per year to be in an HMO and it keeps going up.

I think people expected everything to be done in a year. Politics moves slowly even if you DO control both houses of congress.

I gave him a "B".

I'm not sure that you have caught this new breaking news.

Obama's birth certificate has been found in Kenya. That makes him illegal to be President of the United States. It also means that all of his choices, including Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton are not legal choices according to the election Laws in USA.

oh please. dont post a youtube video and say it is the truth.

here it is

and this from the actual court document of the unfounded lawsuit

.C. § 1343; and 28 U.S.C. § 1331. Plaintiff cites no authority under which any of these
statutes would confer standing on him to bring his Natural Born Citizen Clause claim and we are
aware of none. We therefore find that Plaintiff’s attempt to use these statutes to gain standing to
pursue his Natural Born Citizen Clause claim are frivolous and not worthy of discussion.
Plaintiff avers violations of some of these statutes as freestanding causes of action in the
Amended Complaint. We address the merit of those causes of action below

The irreducible basis of all Plaintiff’s alleged violations is that Obama might be elected to
the Office of President despite being constitutionally ineligible under the Natural Born Citizen
Clause. This alleged fact underscores his claim that he has been deprived of money and billable
hours, his claim that he has been insulted in public, his claim that he is being deprived of a
chance to vote for an eligible candidate, his claim that he will be deprived of life, liberty and
property, and his claim that the non-Obama Defendants are causing him harm by not stopping
Obama. The question, therefore, is straightforward: Does the Natural Born Citizen Clause create14
State action is also a necessary element of a § 1983 claim. See Mark v. Borough of
Hatboro, 51 F.3d 1137, 1141-45 (3d Cir. 1994) (discussing state action requirement). While we
do not need to reach this question because Plaintiff does not allege the violation of any legally
protected right, we note that he would likely have difficulty showing that either Obama or the
DNC are state actors or acting under color of law. We have found no cases where a presidential
candidate has been treated as a state actor merely for running for office. To the contrary, the few
cases that we have found suggest that presidential candidates are not state actors or engaged in
state action for purposes of § 1983. See, e.g., Fulani v. McAulif e, No. 04-6973, 2005 U.S. Dist.
LEXIS 20400, at *17 (S.D.N.Y. Sept. 19, 2005) (dismissing § 1983 claim against defendants,
including the DNC and 2004 presidential candidate John Kerry, because they were not “acting
under color of state law”); Riches v. Giambi, No. 07-0623, 2008 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 53123, at *20
20
a federal right the violation of which results in a cognizable § 1983 claim? We think not
