while I have done both- I think drink affects society in general more- smoking can directly affect the person doing it, and has been shown to affect others- i think massively more damage is done by excesses of alcohol- .... physical effects on your own body, random violence towards strangers, death by drink driving to you and others, domestic violence..... the list is endless- smoking can cause problems for you and those closely associated with you over the long term... but you only have to spend one night in any A&E to see the problems alcohol can cause instantly for you and others, when taken in irresponsible amounts.

bring on the backlash....
Woo hoo, I'm not alone on this one. Gotta love Bray as a centre for informed health choices dont ya
If I had to choose I would say drinking as people who suffer from alcoholism can leave a terrible legacy behind them in their families and affect in a bad way the development of children they may have and their future relationships, smoking is also bad (Guilty) however it wouldnt have the same damaging effect on someones relationship with their family/friends as say someone who drank to excess may do

nothing wrong with doing both at the end of the day its up to each individual to decide what they want to do and no one should get backlash over their lifestyle choice JMO
