Picked Australia because they are similar in politics to us. As well, they would be a lot less brutal than Russia and would have a bit more money to put into it than the Dutch. While the US runs a close second, it is not first as due to the common borders and political alliances, we might possibly end up with that being torn down and we do value our own nationality here and wish to keep it that way.

I think the Dutch would be civilised, and most would have been taught the history of WWII and Canadian troops liberating them from their occupying force during that period of time.
If no them, Australia, in hopes that they would take me back to Aus. with them as a POW, or whatever, so long as I get away from winter.
