Well this is my opinion.
I have a body thats mine. My partner has a body that's his.
We we both choose to do with our bodies is our own decision.

Tattoos are coOOL .. piercings are cool as well ... in moderation though .. not from head to foot ... ! i don't go for pierced tongue AND a pierced eyebrow ... AND a pierced nose ... ya gotta draw the line somewhere reasonable ....

thats what I think too ... I have tattoos and piecings myself but personally I do not find someone covered head to toe in piercings or tattoos physically attractive to look at but I am sure the people that do it think they look great as do some other people ... I get emails sometmes of people with nearly every part of their faces pierced.. often wonder how do they kiss someone with 20 or more pircings in their lips, noses and chins... it would be even worse if they kissed someone with just as many piercings.. they could get stuck together

.. Eeeew! that's just gross ... 20 piercings in their lips? That's just ridiculous .. but then again, i guess when a trend starts, some kids just have to go that one step further .. that one step more radical just to impress the masses .. I'm sure they'll wake up one day years from now and say "OMG .. what was i thinking? NOw i've got a head like a sieve .. sooOo many holes!!!"

i have tattoos some are a mistake but in general those that go excessive and have them all over doesnt look good however in this day and age what right do any of us have in judging someone by the look they have decided on just my thought peoples

Everyone to there own of course with the body piercings and tattoos...
Like I have my own tatts and piercings which is not too many for me but enough, although in saying that I am considering another tatt.
But when it is excessive and like HTF did ya get it there...

I like tattoos and piercings. Depending on where the piercing is. I myself have 5 tattoos but none can be seen unless I choose to show them. 3 of them I have designed myself and I love them.

Going by the poll, the sub 40yo's love body art and the over 40yo's hate it.
One thing it has shown me is the older gen is either mild in their taste or they grow out of the self adornment with art stage somewhere along the way

If it is very good artwork of a tattoo yes I like them. If they are writing of meaning less crap, then I more so see them as just graffiti.
There are some tastefull places for piecings, but some people go overboard and look like they fell in the fishing tackle box

to each his own i think. i have a very discrete tattoo (which i need to get covered up as soon as i have mulah) and i had my tongue and belly button pierced for a while but i ended up taking them out. its kinda weird kissing someone with a tongue piercing too lol.

I think a ladies natural skin is much more of a turn on than ink.
Just my personal preference.
If you have a liking for the effect tattoos gives, why not just use temporary tatts as they can be changed to suit the mood you're in.

My 15yo has got his tongue pierced. He pestered me for ages but he wanted his lip pierced but I was not going to allow any visible piercings so we compromised and he ended up getting his tongue done. He is currently annoying me to get stretchers in his ears to which there is no way in hell I will allow. The thought of a floppy ear lobe grosses me out!! He can decide that when he is responsible for his own decisions. My almost 17yo also wants a tattoo. He wants song lyrics on his ribs. Fortunately he can't find anyone who will do anyone under 18.

I have three tatts two right forearm and one left upper arm. They have been there since before most of you were born, I got them in 1965 and 1966. I was a sailor and they are a traditional sailor thing over hundreds of years. The left arm one is a cat coming home after a night on the grog and the sun is coming up behind him. Kids love to see Granddad's cat. I would advise anyone considering getting one to keep it out of the sun as much as possible. The right forearm consists of two bluey green blobs from sun and age.
Having said that as young sailors we considered women with tatts to be "wharfies" (as rough as guts). My attitude has changed somewhat, but I still would not like to see my granddaughters with tatts.

normalguy68: It's funny how the young persons body so taught and terrific soon expands to a middle aged body and the tattoos enlarge with it.
I've never had that problem, I guess the easy solution would be to watch what you eat..

Shell225: I've never had that problem, I guess the easy solution would be to watch what you eat..
and that is the bottom line Shell.I go through pig out stages, then the jeans get a bit snug.
so go back to watching what I eat.
