The only time I have ever broken a promise is when something happened beyond my control to do so.
Although I've had people break theirs to me without explaination from them.

A few years ago a woman fugitive made a deal through her attorneys to turn herself in if they wouldn't put her in prison. They agreed. (Promised). She turned herself in and they put her in prison. Was this OK? Are exceptions to breaking promises OK? just askin'..------ This poll is Archived ------
