CLINTON WAS RATED #1 REAGAN # 2 BUSH 1 # 3 Carter was never acredited for all the good he did but I would think he was #3. National poll a month ago. How can anyone judge with all the past 43 Presidents and not being too knowlageable of what they did nd was important in their era??
From the history books I would say I feel Kennedy was one of the best..My reason for this is because he and his wife seemed to want the best for the country. They both had the charisma and traveled around the world to try and help better relations with other countries. His speech in Germany was in my opinion "awsome"..
tallman51: Bill Clinton was the only one to go to Vietnam and appologise to the people for the terrible things the Americans did there. The guy had balls !!!!
He artfully dodged the draft. We like that in a president.
According to surveys and polls since 1948, most rate Abe Lincoln as 1st or 2nd and FDR as 2nd or 3rd. I would agree with that. They are probably the two best presidents ever.

What impressed me with Reagan is that he treated everyone the same regardless.
I'll never forget the time when a child in school invited him and his wife Nancy to dinner. Reagan accepted the invite. How strange that I never heard of any other president after Reagan doing that.

Hi Miz
I don't get at all how Reagan was the best president. Mind boggling that people would think so. He was an idiot.

JeanMarlow: This has zilch to do with being an effective US president or international leader. 99.9% of all men, of all people, will like about an affair.....

Hi Miz I thought it was nice too.I'll have to see if I can find that story and mail it to you.It showed Mr and Mrs Reagan sitting at tv trays in the boys livingroom. That's mostly what impressed me about him.

Ccincy: Not taking the bait.
Not bait. I don't do that. Just stating an opinion and what I believe to be fact. Find it rather insulting that you lable an honest and straightforward post as 'bait.'

Calling him an Idiot is stretching it a bit, don't ya think...I mean it takes a pretty bright guy to get to be the President of such a huge Country. Everyone has the right to their opinion...and we're not going to agree...that's why they do polls...but they were all deserving to be there during their term.

Has to be #28.... good old Woodrow Wilson! <> If not for him, we wouldn't have a private central bank charging us interest for printing our money when our own government can do it interest free. <> if not for him we wouldn't have a federal income tax necessary only to pay on the interest the private central bank charges.
All kidding aside, IMO the best president yet has to be number 16, Abe Lincoln, followed close by number 35, John Kennedy. Both had balls but unfortunately pissed off too many people they stood up to believing in what was right and best for the country.
