I think its ok if you're just looking for friends for a chat but if you're looking for love then its a lil off putting.

I find people who don't and wont put a pic on profile are a bit suss, trying hide something or married etc! how can you start a conversation with a blank page?? If I am up front and honest I expect the same back. doesn't matter if they only want to chat what is the problem. I would still like to put a face to my pen pal.

I know a lot of people will not respond with out a pic. I have read it in some profiles. I tried one time and found it very difficult after about the fifth letter. With a pic it personafies it. Even though with a pic you never really know if it is the persons or not unless you skype. But also I have heard that even with a pic responses are difficult to get. Keep sending out letters.

That happens whether you have a pic up or not.
Personally I dont see what the problem is, if a person doesnt want to put up a pic they dont have to, I just dont get the whole paranoia that they have something to hide.
