On this site or any other, how much of a Forum discussion will you read? I never get past the first page, are others the same?
For arguments sake for options 1, 2 and 3, just assume the conversation is that long.

If a debate interests me and I've got the time, I'll read more than if it doesn't/I don't.

I don't have a template, or a personal rule book.

well,

I don't go into arguing threads much myself.
my english skills aren't just good enough to debate or defend my position.

but I read EVERYTHING. no matter who posted a thread, or what the subject is.

I do that to form a personal opinion about members.

I read the whole thing if I find it very interesting... sometimes I'll scroll through several pages of it skipping when it's over 10 pages.

I find it interesting that those who think they don't have very good English skills are also the ones who never use sentence fragments nor do they commit vocabulary/punctuation/spelling errors...

Heck, some of all y'all could teach English to people whose first language is English. cheers

I usually read most of it before I post, usually to see if it's a thread worth bothering with. Sometimes I'll see a post and come up with a quip, and sometimes I'll actually offer a post on topic!

It's seeming the normal now to start a thread with a hidden agenda. People who are not aware will post genuine advice until the true meaning of the thread comes out.

Those sort of threads are scum, and the reason why people are shying away from posting.

interesting,

that unfortunately happens all too often, a good debate turns into a slagging match, there's one currently going on that has literally become a war of hate between a couple of posters, it's well over the 50 page mark and has completely degenerated into a personal tit for tat rant. I started a thread a couple of days ago just for fun, an online party hoping people would post some fun tunes on there, within a dozen posts it had turned into a slagging match between 2 guys.

Some peeps take it personally if you say something towards that person like point of view and boy do the gloves come out boxing boxing and everyone is most likely say OMG!! sit back and read what will unfold popcorn popcorn popcorn

Some sensitive folks out there. Gotta shakes hands and move onhandshake and smile grin after all it is just a debate.
