Hot_Single_Dude: Do you beleive it is not propper attacking a political party just because it is an american politcal party or some thing?
I think it's not "propper" for an American who (for God only knows what reason) is pretending to be a Dane to then also pretend to know everything about American politics.
RayfromUSA: To be really accurate, the boom you are talking about was artificially created. During the Carter era the fed practiced a tight money policy. As soon as Reagan was elected the Fed dumped money into the system. It caused a lot of activity, but it was all financed by debt. Yes, business was booming, but that artificial boom is what caused the present very real bust.
I'm all for fiscal conservatism. But Reagan is the worst example one could possibly find of that.
Yay Ray, You are so right on dude. This disasterous fiscal policy has been going on ever since Reagan conspired to run guns to fight the Sandinistas and give the money from the Guns to Iran. Usurping Jimmy Carter's authority and padding his pockets during the campaign. This fiscal policy has been also padding the pockets of the Republicrats ever since. The same financial officers that worked for Clinton, worked for Bush and those same officers that broke America along with the Feds policy to pad their pockets, are working for Obama as we speak. Or maybe it's the other way around ya think?
RayfromUSA: Or was it because they gave him campaign money and that was the deal. They gave him a few million and he made the taxpayers give them many billions.
RayfromUSA: Apparently you never spent any time in Trenton NJ Katt. Actually it fits.
Yeah I know but I did not want Lefty and Knuckles from the Trenton Chamber of commerce pulling into my front yard in a big black Lincoln to take me for a ride some moonless night.
Everybody screams about communism, but it is dead. Fascism is alive and well and it is running your nation under the guise of the Fed. I've lived in this country for 60 years, so don't tell me about republicans or democrats or so called libertarians or independents for that matter.

Maybe so Ray but think about it-it is all artificial no matter who is in office-lobbyists pull the strings for bigger benefactors...
chris27292729: Did you read the news last week,by the economic grading agency,Fitch i think it was.-Put you economy in order,or will down grade you.-Who the hell are they, threatening to down grade the American economy.
We're following Greece's lead. Just a matter of time.
The upside, when we hit the skids, there'll be a bunch of countries following suit!

I'd take it a little further and say there are two main political illusions being pushed along with many other smaller illusions. That way even what the people argue about can be manipulated.
Most people in this country are too lazy to reason things out for themselves so instead they pick someone to follow and base everything on that person's words.
Come one people Al Gore is a Lawyer, mot a scientist. How about Michael Moore lecturing us all on healthcare?
From the time we're little we are trained to have an us v. them mentality. We're supposed to pick a side and fight for it. It does not matter if it is politics, which fast food joint serves the best grade of extruded meat by-products and non-nutritional slop or which actor was the best James Bond. In the end it all amounts to the same thing, NOTHING!

jvaski: WE both feel good about exposing you for what you are !
Couples time is a good thing!
Have you considered getting into couples therapy? Dude claims to be some sort of therapist. Maybe he can help the two of you find out what you want from your relationship.
katt1017: They do say politics makes strange bedfellows.I thought those two were pretty strange already.Rose thinks we should get them a Crockpot as a wedding present but I'm afraid they might take it as a dig at the content of their posts on here.
Wasn't speaking of any fellow man in particular. I don't have a dog in this here hunt. He's sleeping.

You have lived in this country for 60 years and refer to the nation as "your" and not ours...... Tell me I`m reading way too much into your choice of words.
