Hi Cat - welcome back I don't think it's fair to say that people who just "agree" with someone else are like sheep. Sometimes, what another person says is sufficient and there is no need to repeat it. Just as in everyday conversation you might say, "that's right" or, "I couldn't have put it better myself".

Wow DC!! I feel like giving that kid a good kick up the backside!! Sorry, but that is a horrible thing to hear. However, children and teenagers can be very cruel. It seems to me that they just don't appreciate you. Just because you cannot cook does not make you a bad mother for God's sake!! You say that they are thriving, well that is because of you. They did not get that way by themselves. I think it is time that you started to feel good about yourself and give yourself some credit. As for what your mum said - maby that is why your self esteem is so low. Nobody wants to hear that from a parent. Give yourself a pat on the back girl. You must have done something right!!

That's the problem, these kind of things do sometimes divide friends into two different camps and there is not very much you can do about that. As Ian said, just walk away. Life is too short to be letting something like that worry you. You obviously have other friends who care about you so enjoy their friendship.
