Molly. I think that a local in a small community is probably ok, because most people will know each other. But, a large town or city is a different kettle of fish. Must get one of those signs Molly.
It's not the worry about what people think Titania, it's the consequences of that thinking - as in - being approached by guys thinking that you are fair game.
I would never go to a pub by myself. It is unfortunate but women on their own in a pub are a target for every drunk and likely lad in the vicinity. They seem to think that she is just there for one thing only. My brother was separated a couple of years after me and I used to envy him because he could go to his local and meet people. I wish it were different.
I did not mention marriage but even so, there are many men out there - not nerds, which I find a very unfair description - who are glad to marry or be in a relationship. If there weren't, there would be a hell of a lot of lonely people in this world.
I think it works both ways Titania. There are plenty of guys out there who are desperate for a relationship. As for, letting the guy direct the relationship -I think those days are gone - thank God!
Z. I expect it is much the same the world over. However, no point in having the dosh if the guy doesn't do it for me but I still don't want to have to support anyone! Not at my age anyway!
Oh Z, you are such a cynic!! So Sol, why don't you do up a form with multiple choice questions relevant to a dating site and we can see how well we perform - in your estimation!!
It's perfectly fine to be on lots of dating sites if you are not in a relationship. But if you are in a relationship, why would you be on a dating site, or even two dating sites?
RE: Cat?
Yep, me too!! Ominously quiet! Hope all is ok.
