I would never go to a pub by myself. It is unfortunate but women on their own in a pub are a target for every drunk and likely lad in the vicinity. They seem to think that she is just there for one thing only. My brother was separated a couple of years after me and I used to envy him because he could go to his local and meet people. I wish it were different.sigh

I did not mention marriage but even so, there are many men out there - not nerds, which I find a very unfair description - who are glad to marry or be in a relationship. If there weren't, there would be a hell of a lot of lonely people in this world.
