Presumably you are German, therefore your rather one dimensional attitude is not so surprising. The concept of free speech is exactly that, different people express themselves in many different ways, perhaps you fail to pick up the message because you are too locked in to your own way of communicating. Think of it this way, in English there are so many different ways of saying 'I understand' , each with its own little inflection and inference which subtly changes the meaning. In German there is really only one way. Alles klar?
