Life and death.
One of my fave director just commit suicide by jumping of a bridge. Before he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain cancer. Whatever his reason to jump was I believe he has had a great life. Ending a life though sometimes seen as an act by those who surrender, is an act that need courage too. I was there, but I was too afraid to do so.I hope you are in peace now. Thank you for great movies you have produced.True Romance will always be in my fave list.

maybe he didn't want to suffer
brain cancer giving so bad symphtoms , that i would perhaps jump on his place too
weed and euthanasia should be legal
Brave decision but so sad for someone to be so alone at the end of life
" he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain cancer."
He was only diagnosed - while there is life, there is hope; he should have investigated other healing methods & if he was the director (I assume he had money), he should have spent his last cent looking for a cure before taking the plunge.
false hope drive to suffer
i bet he knew what he is doing , but yeah sad ..
Maybe it's just me, but I am a proponent of hope, life, alternative & spiritual healing; stuff like that! I'm just saying - explore every avenue before throwing in the towel!
That too you know is an alternative way to die,
As you say each to his own though
Curly, I'm sorry for your friend, i believe it was hard for her and also everyone who saw her suffer
