Life and death.

One of my fave director just commit suicide by jumping of a bridge. Before he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain cancer. Whatever his reason to jump was I believe he has had a great life. Ending a life though sometimes seen as an act by those who surrender, is an act that need courage too. I was there, but I was too afraid to do so.

I hope you are in peace now. Thank you for great movies you have produced.True Romance will always be in my fave list.

bad to hear, but
maybe he didn't want to suffer
brain cancer giving so bad symphtoms , that i would perhaps jump on his place too
weed and euthanasia should be legal wave
Yeah sad to hear the news... I agree with you on weed and euthanasia :)
Hope he rests in peace sad flower
wave Yes very sad he came from near me too.
Brave decision but so sad for someone to be so alone at the end of lifemoping
Yes i think the same as youve all said here, i read about it earlier but at that time there was no explanation.Exept to say hed left a note.sad flower sad flower
I don't agree with that...conversing
" he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain cancer."
He was only diagnosed - while there is life, there is hope; he should have investigated other healing methods & if he was the director (I assume he had money), he should have spent his last cent looking for a cure before taking the plunge. sigh
yes the sudden stop at the bottom , should of done the trick or maybe the 18 wheele truck that run over him did him in ...gone now and not forgoten

St Elmo not every cancer can be heal, even with a lot of money
false hope drive to suffer
i bet he knew what he is doing , but yeah sad ..
dear St elmo hug with respect we do not know full details yet, such a man would not have done that without great deal of thought. Our own life is our only freedom these days and even then some poor souls without the ability to do that live in purgatoryteddybear
Lady/Red ~ wave <------ looks like the song. Lady in Red, laugh grin Sawwy....back on topic...
Maybe it's just me, but I am a proponent of hope, life, alternative & spiritual healing; stuff like that! I'm just saying - explore every avenue before throwing in the towel! handshake peace
sarasvathy yes true how some cultures have different views on this ...i myself have been though some very tuff things in my life ....and to get to that place takes a huge amount of fear and hurt ....
Im with you Redex its rediculous to suffer unesessarily and the guy has my admiration for his realistic outlook and courage. I nursed my dad through cancer also a courageos man but what a rediculous way to end a great persons life when there is no chance of recovery. comfort
St elmo Lady/Redrolling on the floor laughing Yes I agree to explore as I very rarely go to docs as I find an alternative healing in the main, but I do know for my own peace for living now was to know how I could end my own life if needed. In a peaceful manner too so was not gruesome for whover found me. I live now at peace with myself.
That too you know is an alternative way to die, hug hug
As you say each to his own thoughteddybear
at least the poor man was true to his trade, and made a dramatic exit, may he rest in peace.sad flower
That's sad, Sarasvathy. I hope he RIP.
Sad that he took his life. sad flower
Always sad when a great man has to die, even more sad if it has to happen this way. Euthanasia is legalised in my country and still discussions will always happen about in what case it should or shouldn't be applied, but if you have made the choice i believe you should have the right to do it with your loved ones at your side and go with honour.
Teddy, our love and pray is with him...

Curly, I'm sorry for your friend, i believe it was hard for her and also everyone who saw her suffer sad flower
I think his widow denied the brain cancer story, but maybe you know better
