This truly sounds like a festival from Northern Wisconsin. I used to live in Hayward, Wisconsin back in the early 70's. Sometimes it was colder there then the arctic circle. Good Times! Wall to wall beer and snow up to your AXX. Where is this festival going to be held? Does it cost admission? Do you have to wear clothes? Is there any free food? Do I need Picture ID?
My Dear Friends, please forgive me and my poor attempt at humor. The reason that I announced the sale of the book is that is what I think about all of the nonsense in this information age of "how to" everything for the right price. If you peruse this blog's history all of the articles are all ready on here for free! Please let me be the first to point out that there will always be someone to complain about everything, even being hung with a new rope. I sincerely value the opinions here on CS of my friends as well as my detractors, it keeps me well rounded, and at my age I am getting to be quite round. (I may write a book on that someday as well...) Once again I apologize if I have broken any rules, though I do enjoy "crossing the line" on occasion, as we all do. It does tend to make life terribly interesting. And now, I want to take this opportunity to wish all of you the Merriest of Christmases and the most wonderful of New Years.
I feel bad for this father. He obviously has been hurt real bad. Nobody can hurt you like your children, been there, done that, got the broken heart, several times... It's sad how the ones you love the most can hurt you the worst.
The secret to "getting it right" is for both people to work towards the same goal... a loving relationship. This requires loving even though we've been hurt, or we do not understand, or one of us just being a turd. It is not hard to describe, but darn near impossible to do...

@SweetanNeat, before you get a tattoo with anything about Jesus you might want to read the scriptures in the Old Testament that exhort us not to "cut or mark our bodies in any way because they are the temple of the Holy Spirit." I got tatoos when I was younger and now that I am much older and a little wiser I sincerely regret marking myself in this way...JMO
send, what helped me move on, after a failed 28 year marriage, was setting down and writing my "What do I want to do now" list. Where I am now, five years later, is almost uncanny... It hasn't been without those "sad moments", but I wouldn't go back for anything! Finding someone takes time, and letting go of the past is not easy, it was very difficult for me. But every day it gets a little better. Ride wild and ride free girl, and don't waste time looking back...
Presuming, how could someone that looks so young and happy know the memories of those of us so much older? Poems like this make one hold onto what they have so much tighter than before...
Tang, I've thought about what you've just written and I agree with you. I believe when a person finds their mate that this union "completes" them. I feel that it has for me. The idea of having someone to give yourself to, holding nothing back, to unabashedly and with total abandon give all of yourself to another person "completes" you...

I've read this blog and for the life of me I can't think of one single thing that I don't like about the female gender. Poor behavior is not gender-specific. Some of the most wonderful times in my life have been spent in the passionate embrace of a wonderful woman...
