RE: They Walk Among Us!

To all with understanding and concepts, hear ye now, with all the power vested in neurological and mediological pursuants the quest of profound knowledge being evident, it is deemed proper the highest degree be conferred upon the person who has submitted the infallible information. From this day forward, the submitter of the journalistic matter thus produced, shall be
proclaimed as Master Of The Class, noteworthy, avias ! confused doh yawn

RE: Serious (?????) thoughts.....

Hi avias, I will not recommend it, but I lost 12 pounds in the past 5 weeks, 2 of those weeks I had no food at all except "IV's" and they don't have much taste !! studecarcomfort

recovery - slooow

Thank all of you for your cheerful comments, even though I will probably never see or touch any of you , it is so comforting to know there are friends out there who took the time to send the greetings. Thanks again. studecar (Larry)handshake

RE: Did you Know??...

Sista, you sound almost like you have been in my Government Class when I was teaching years ago. I told my students the important thing when voting is to research the candidates and decide which is best suited for the office - don't listen to their campaign malarky, and vote as "AN AMERICAN", not what your party tells you to vote. studecar

RE: Little bit of Irish Humor

Stay in there girl! Love that story.

RE: Cruz trumps the Trump in Iowa Race

Trump or Cruz? They are 2 peas in a pod!

RE: Body or comforter

comforters don't snore.

who -what- where

Avias, "aint" It so. I believe it was the caveman who was civilized.

who -what- where

to Calliopesgirl, you are so right ,guns never go on a rampage, only people do. That is why we need stricter control over who is able to get a gun, check the condition in Australia for intelligent controls. Little to no intelligence here in the U. S., it's all in who can make the most money selling them or taking it under the table. confused doh dunno

RE: Bernie Sanders...Gotta Love Him...

Bernie could be the salvation of the U.S. He is the only one I would vote for. Someone mentioned "Socialism" what is wrong with that? Socialism is generally considered the government supports the people, think about this, the ultra rich (1%) are supported by the average tax payer - and you who are against
the dreaded Socialists, think on that. In addition , check on the programs by the Republican President Dwight Eisenhour , find out about a the social adm. under him.doh

RE: Humor.... in the Skies

funny, do hope the guy in back stays there !!!

Trump

Hi avias, only one hope Bernie Sanders. people are afraid of "socialism" but when Eisenhour was President he used the same tactics to develop the greatest progress since Roosevelt. We have socialism now, only it is the rich who are rewarded. Stu

RE: so do we have a capable president? Or a lame one.

Right avias ! I am sure there are some Muslims that are basically good people, but they bring distrust by their habits and demonstrating they are entirely different than the rest of us. Why is it alright for the men to dress anyway they want but the women have to be covered up and look like a black sack going down the street. Now as to the job Obama is doing, I'd say considering the constant rebuff he gets from the Republicans, he is doing a wonderful job. Thinking on Presidents, WHAT ONE GOT US IN TO THE PROBLEMS WE HAVE IN THE FIRST PLACE. "w"???

RE: The Shaming of Eve

you couldn't possibly be a Republican refuting the ownership of a wife !

RE: Are you the potential longevity?

Longevity is prevalent in my family, I have a brother who is 101 years old - and he is tall. I had 2 sisters who reached the age of 98, and another brother who lived to be 95. Me? I'm the younger kid, I am only 92 , and incidentally, I am the longest living human with a triple bypass, last July 3 it was 37 years ago when that was done. Last week I had my yearly check up by my cardiologist and every thing was in fine fashion. I keep busy with my hobby of restoring old cars, I believe everyone should have a hobby that offers physical activity. studecar ( does that give a hint as to the make I like ?)

RE: A chuckle to brighten your day!

not a bar joke, but funny.
2 elderly women met in a Mall. One says to the other, "I'm so happy to see you, I've missed you so much. I remember the good times we had together, like going shopping, and playing cards, and ,just visiting, but - you have to forgive me - I can't remember your name". There was total silence for a few seconds, then the other lady says, "How soon do you need to know?"

RE: FAKE AND REAL

read poems by studecar, sincere.

RE: Can anybody tell me

Yes, there is an Area 51, I was stationed there for a while during WWII, however it was not known as Area 51, only part of Muroc Airbase (now Edwards Air Force Base.) Worked with the first jet airplanes(P59), also the first U.S. flying wing.
There weren't any UFO's or little grey men at that time. Didn't need a ladder at that time !

RE: Priest and Pilot Go To Heaven

Great story, probably a lot of truth to it.

RE: The Great Divide

Extremely well written article, I am a Veteran also and I do not understand how the U.S. Supreme Court can call burning our flag ,"freedom of speech". Everyone of the Judges who voted for that should be ashamed.
As to the Confederate Flag, it is a source of irritation and should never be flown on any government property. Those who worship it should face the facts, they lost the war, get over it. I don't see the Union Jack of England being flown anywhere in the U.S. I happen to be half English in heritage but I don't want the English flag hoisted above our capitol. applause confused doh frustrated

RE: GOOD LESSONS

Andy was always one of my favorite people, I do miss him. I don't know how many books he wrote , but I bought one many years
ago, finally donated it to the Senior Citizen Center.
Thanks for printing "what I've learned".

RE: REMEMBER ....APRIL 22

This Earth has been good to me, been on it for quite a while and plan on being here longer, so I try to keep it looking nice and even though it sends weeds to me which I don't like, I will keep them mowed down so it looks like someone cares about it. studecar dancing yay

RE: TOP OF THE MORNIN TO EVERYONE

Because everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's day regardless of where they sprouted ( Irish potatoes) I think your "Top o' the morning to everyone" - even to the grouch from Ireland who posted where to put whatever, he shows the type of "Leepin'Con" he is.
