A very happy St. Patrick's day to you too Avias....Does green food coloring in my beer count, or do I need to seek some other kind of green?.....cheers
Christian...Amongst your other talents, you must read minds as I was just seeking the green food coloring for non other than a beer! Wow...and yes, it counts!irish
Hi Ioatoo...St Patricks Day is celebration for Irish heritage, culture and the patron saint of Ireland, St Patrick. It is day of parades, eating traditional Irish food such as corned beef & cooked cabbage, drinking some alcohol of your choice (possibly tinted green) listening and playing the traditional music and dancing the Irish Jig. For this day, many of us are Irish (even if we have no Irish heritage)...it is simply a tribute to the country & the patron saint. AND we try to wear green, color taken from the Irish shamrock. Those who are found without green on their person....well, there is a little penalty they pay...whoever sees them without green, may give them a pinch... in an appropriate area of their body!( No elaboration on that statement! I know, disappointing but no time, got to go and have my green beer with Candykid.)
Here's a toast given for St Patricks Day: "May the roof above us never fall in and may we friends beneath it never fall out."conversing drink pouring irish
Because everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's day regardless of where they sprouted ( Irish potatoes) I think your "Top o' the morning to everyone" - even to the grouch from Ireland who posted where to put whatever, he shows the type of "Leepin'Con" he is. The jig's up, stay in there Irish Lass , good comment.
studecar very mad handshake
Everybody...gnite gotta go thanks
Do you know that green was added to St Paddy's Day in this country in the 1900's and traditionally on St Patrick's day was 'blue'. And another interesting fact is until 1970 St Patrick's day was a DRY Day [ so no beer]
Aquarius..Thanks for info.... things have really changed with time!thumbs up
