Oh, and as far as the language is concerned: any knowledge of German will be of very little help in Bavaria - they speak Bavarian. Us other Germans need subtitles when a Bavarian opens his mouth.
Morgen, what exactly led you to the conclusion that I would love to see the christian community wiped out? Is life really so very black-and-white for you, with no middle ground?
I would like to see tolerance overcome those frictions between different groups - if that makes me a liberal, so be it. I believe that people of different religions can live together peacefully because I have seen in happen. I have been to church in a muslim country, and guess what - nobody threw rocks at me! (or taunted me with Jesus caricatures)
Hi June, I am all in favour of people saying whatever they want, whenever they want. But, if a minority group gets targeted in such a way, it seems more like a call for war and to me that just is not right.
Solamente, that is a very good point - the judge probably was indeed bound by the letter of the law. Unfortunately common sense and the law are not often in the same room.
It seems that the politicians have passed the buck to a judge, who then just stuck to his law book, passing the buck to the police, who will have to deal with whatever develops as a result of this undecisiveness.
Morgen, would it really be so bad if 50% of the European population decided to worship god in a mosque, rather than a church or a synagogue or a temple?
I do not mind what people believe in and how they worship, as long as they do not try to force their religion onto me.
I would also never dream of standing in front of any place of worship, trying to provoke those, who do not share my believes.
Good point, Teddy. There are cultural differences indeed, and a lot of people are probably just afraid of something, that seems so different to what they are used to.
But does that give a small group of people the right to provoke those, who are seemingly so different?
Simmo, you blew it - you said you had a date with someone else AFTER my proposal. Therefore we will just have to split the profits 50/50 without this lovely wedding ceremony I had already planned so perfectly in my deranged head!
RE: Want to Move to Germany-Bavaria
Bungallow, have you bought yourself some Lederhosen yet?
