RE: My Fellow CS Bloggers and Friends

It's a shame that you invested so much time and perhaps some feelings in him too, but as with everything, it's all trial and error. There's a nice guy around for you, the trick is not to accidentally walk past him without recognising him. wink Good luck! hug

RE: My Fellow CS Bloggers and Friends

Sounds like he's a fake. Or married. Or both.
Either way, you don't have to defend yourself, you haven't done anything wrong.
You'd be amazed how many fakes there really are on this site. Some even post for years and fool lots of people...

RE: Dr:Joseph Murphy

Hey, if you must copy and paste, at least reveal your source:

Oh, and don't make it too obvious that you're plagiarising by writing your profile text in poor German. Someone WILL notice the difference at some point... doh

Lemmings - go on, JUMP!

Suuuuure, nonsmoker, you get a practice run. Most of the self-declared lemmings will resurface again, without a doubt. cool

RE: To be Liked or Respected? Is there a Difference?

I never wonder if people will like me, it often surprises me when they do. Not because I think that I'm unlikable (on the contrary), but because I didn't try to get their affection and therefore didn't expect any.

As to respect - I can only receive what I give, therefore I treat others with the respect they deserve.

RE: HOUSE WIFE 1

Is this going anywhere? confused

RE: God exists

Ah, that is very interesting, Ariel! Thanks for clarifying - I thought that you may have implied that, but was not sure. cheers

RE: God exists

Hi Ariel! wave

Of course you are right, we are free to decide later whether we continue to believe or not. But I have yet to meet one atheist, who found god later in life, whereas I know many, who were raised with a strong belief in the divine, only to later give up on that.

RE: God exists

God only exists for those, who were raised believing that he exists.

RE: Sie kommen Sie kommen

The Oktoberfest starts in September and finishes in October. Do you think they should have called it Septemberoktoberfest, just to be precise? laugh

Mind you, now that I think about it, I am surprised that none of my fellow Germans has ever suggested renaming it as such! rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Sie kommen Sie kommen

All the German you need to know when drinking beer is "Prosit!", "Zum Wohl!" and "Noch ein Bier, bitte!" grin cheers

RE: Someone Threatened Me in My Mailbox Here!!!

It's summer - maybe the mods are on holiday? dunno

RE: Its a amazing the response we get to just one word

Simmo, I am not 100% sure, but I think in Austria people say "Servus" when saying hello and good bye. At least that is what my Austrian friends say, there might again be regional differences.

RE: Someone Threatened Me in My Mailbox Here!!!

Are they in the same country as you? Do they know your address? If so, talk to the police. If not - ignore. It's just words on a screen. hug

Oh, and I have no idea about the rules here, sorry. dunno

RE: Its a amazing the response we get to just one word

Simmo, "tschüß" means "see you" in German - it's the casual way of friends saying good bye to each other.

Mind you, in a lot of places it is actually replacing the more formal "auf Wiedersehen" that would usually be used for strangers. conversing

RE: Ciao

Thank you, Simmo. I am looking after those, who need looking after, I am hoping that this will be bringing the extended family closer together again. smile

RE: Sad Story II

See, Bungallow, that is why excuses do not work - if someone is determined to make a nuisance of themselves, they will have an answer for anything.

But they cannot argue the word NO away - they will die trying. laugh laugh

RE: Ciao

Hi Simmo, I've been offline for a while due to a death in the family. Apart from that all is good, I hope you're well too. hug lips

RE: Sad Story II

It is very simple: you have heard of the word "no", right? USE IT!

RE: Ciao

This is Ciao as they use it in Italy, to say Hello, right? conversing

Salut Simmo! wave

RE: Women Republic.

What is right about it? uh oh

RE: Women Republic.

Leo, you innocent man-child, we are running everything already. You just haven't noticed it yet. tongue grin

RE: Death threat

It happens occasionally, they are just empty words of powerless people on a computer far, far away - nothing to worry about. bouquet

Unless your friend gave this person her address - in that case I would call the police to be on the safe side. sir bobby
