Catfot;you don't ask too much at all,children need safe and happy environment and that's the greatest present that parents can give to they're children feeling Love surrounds them. It is a dream that many of us wish for... You know the old saying:
'It takes 2 to Tango' to hold on to rithmic and constant dynamic of relationship so mutual tolerance 'give and take' is essential tool. Finding right meatch is the key as if you are by nature like fast plane and partner is like little slow car it's always going to be a obstacle to overcome differences in every life department...I know what you're saying when compering many things with your parents;as we all do unconceously compare things with our modelling parents realations and wish to take what we like or avoid what we didn't like in our parents marriage...but men can't re-marry he's mother or women re-marry her father as our partner is usually different- as we are...I am not relationship cancelor to know what each of us needs to make things work individually but I know that we all need to work on ourselves to listen what other person desire from us too to make things work.

I have a grown up daughter so she is happy with money present and her boyfriend is happy with that too,loll.
I don't have to pretend any more to be Santa Clause hiding presents while she wants to stay awake all night to cach Santa in action,loll. Merry Christams,hope Santa brings you lot's of nice presents.

Thank you for kind message,it has been numerous Christmas to celebrate without my family/relatives from Europe and true Christmas time I specially feel extra nostalgic to missing all of them but it's important to appreciate all good and close people who's enriching my life hear as well my special daughter, and new baby playful cat she broth for Christmas. So I still consider myself lucky to be surrounded with love and joy to share all around.

You should first love and respect yourself and the moment you put in someone else more value than yourself you get less than you settled or hope for. My best advice is;try to learn from this experience and move on in relaisation that even bad experience comes to teach us something about ourselves what we need to improve, like to build solid foundation of self estem. Don't ever give a man free highway ride -put your self priorities first and in standing your ground learn to love and appreciate yourself more.Good luck.

I think that eyes and body language says 90% more story about trutfulness if we can read true it ...but on line we don't have that luxuries so we follow up look/face and words and that's never enough

Having positive attitude really helps, as wall being realistic with yourself. If one person is not right for you or you're not right for her -get over it and open your eyes, mind and heart for what is to come. Some times we look so long in close door that we do not see the one that opens to us...
