It's not the words in their Holy Book that is the problem. Many of the same sentiments and verses can be found in the Bible as well. Rather, it is the way that the clerics are interpreting the words and the reactions of the people that hear the words. It is the moslem people and their historical perspective that causes the problem.
I don't recall hearing or seeing Mr. Trump say anything about limiting the press, let alone silencing the press. He merely said they should get the facts right and be more positive once in a while.
My number 1 criteria for meeting somebody is that they are also interested in meeting me. That way we have a two way street, as it were. And hopefully a basis for conversation.
But just to meet and see somebody? No. I think that I would rather watch their movie, listen to their song, or read about their history.
I miss those days.......life was so much simpler.........and so much easier..........we knew what we were doing and where we were going........but look at us now?????
The part of Mexico that I live in is not at all like the main parts of the country. Here, the people don't want to even be called Mexican, They want to be called Yucatecans. They don't even know what chili con carne is......
I live in a small town of about 3,500 people and we only have 5 police officers, and they don't have guns.
If old Sam Walton could see what his company has become, he would shut it down in a heart beat. He was always known to be sharp and fair and put American goods on the shelf. Look at it now.......it's a cryin' shame.
Back in the day, when married and living in Canada, our habit was to go out for Sunday Brunch.
I always felt it was proper that she have the time off to enjoy as well as me.
Brunch would consist of just about all breakfast foods combined with salad bar and regular lunch/dinner type foods.
Quite the spread. Always over did it.......miss it actually....
Eggs, bacon, ham, sausages, crab legs, shrimps, waffles, pancakes, french toast,..........oh blast, stop me here, I've just drooled on myself...................
When I was about 8 years old, a group of the local Kinsmen Service Club came to one of the local parks with a big truck load of cinder blocks and cement. Well over about 3 days or so, they built this wonderful play castle with a big drop down door and a 2 story tower with stairs inside. It was so awesome. Every kid in the area was in love with it. I swore one day I would live in something like that as my house.
