In some cases war does make man a monster. I was reading an article the other day about men at war by Major D S Pierson.
Natural Killers
by Major David S. Pierson, US Army
A natural killer is a person who has a predisposition to kill—he enjoys combat and feels little or no remorse about killing the enemy. These men have existed throughout the history of warfare, and their feats have often been hailed as heroic. They constitute less than 4 percent of the force, yet some studies show that they do almost half of the killing.
Most soldiers are unknowingly conscientious objectors. They try to avoid taking a human life.
Most human beings could not bring themselves to take the life of another human being. Only if any of my family were in danger, then and only then I know I could kill.
Titania comes from Shakespeare's play, 'A Midsummer Night's Dream,'
Queen Titania is a portrayal of a strong woman, in A Midsummer Night's Dream. She is attended to by many other fairies and seems to be completely in charge of her life. However, she clashes with her husband, Oberon, King of the Fairies, who is definitely just as strong-minded as she is. Although Shakespeare created Titania from his own imagination, there is a possibility that he got the idea from the goddess Diana and her fairy attendants.
When I feel sleepy, bored and hungry, it is amazing how alive I become when my man is close by, I sure know what I want then, all sleepiness, hunger and boredom is gone in a flash.
I am going to America in June Lindsy, my biggest fear is the Pilot who is tired of living crashing the plane, then my other fear is going shopping or to the movies and some crazed teen with a gun going on the rampage, I'm not used to police with guns here in my country when I go about my day to day life. The Muslims I know are hard working lovely people. There are nut-cases in all religions, we just have to learn to live with it, I wish I had the answers. Good blog though.
If I was feeling on top of the world I'd walk in the beautiful door with my head held high, if I was having a down in the dumps day I'd walk in the average door.
I like to spend time in silence in this ever increasing noisy world, being an intravert I live in my mind quite a lot, quite often when people with boring conversations leave me numb, I take my leave to go in search of my own mind.
I know just how you feel. I have a similar story, too long to go into just now. I was 36, I took my two daughters with me, we spent a week with him. I could not call him Dad. I couldn't watch the Video, I would get too upset. another time maybe.
Personally I could talk to a faceless person forever, man or woman if they feed my brain with intelligent conversations, it's the mindless air heads who I'm not interested in, I couldn't care less how good looking they are, a man with a brain does it for me every time.
I did have a picture here one time when I wrote poetry, I did used to get fed up with young guy's wanting a mother figure, telling me how beautiful I was and they loved older woman.
I have not been on this site very long, but I have got to know some nice people, and I do think the time is close to put my pic here for all to see how truly beautiful I am - ( NOT ) I agree with Love_Sick's comment, I like to connect on a deeper level, many a life's been ruined by people not seeing past a good looking face.
My Gran used to say to her Son's -
If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, never make a pretty woman your wife.
