No Need For Words

Oh my! How delicious was my Sunday morning -
My lover, he gazed deep into my sleepy eyes
In silence, he held my gaze in
For what seemed like aeons,
He brushed back my hair in silence
He caressed my bare shoulder - in silence
Two souls became one in silence,
There was no need for mere words,
Our eyes did the talking.
It was a transcendental moment,
He was me, I was him, silent salty tears
Of pure unadulterated joy trickled
Down my cheeks, I knew in that moment
If I ever get to be in God's tender embrace
Behind those pearly gates, it sure won't
Better that sweet moment in my lovers embrace.

Women Are Sacred

See the woman

She is beauty
She gives life to the future
She is Isis, she is Eve
She is temptation
She is a temptress.

See the woman

A raging tempest
Will ne'er her sprit dim
She is a survivor
Under azure skies
In the loneliness of the mountains
Or in rancid overcrowded towns
She smiles serenely
At times she is yonderly in
Solitude and despair.

See the woman

She is the stronger sex
She can multi task
She is
Multi O*gasmic

See the Woman
The "Femme Fatale"

She is a peacemaker
If she ruled the world
There would be no wars
She does not take life
She gives life

What Mother
Could kill another
Mothers Son?

See the Woman

She will nurture the
Fruit of her womb
Till the last breath
Leaves her body.

In some tribes she is free
In some religions
She is under man
In some societies
She’s worth what she consumes.

Nature is red in tooth and claw

The dulcet tones of birds
Can brighten a day
As do baby lambs
At play.
A soft breeze caresses
Warm skin
Nature can soothe
A tempest within.

There is great beauty in nature
Great ugliness too
There are days when nature is vile
When the Gods are angry the air turns blue.

There's blood and gore
Petrified bones
The dead and dying
Emit deafening moans
Motherless chicks mouths
Beg for sustenance
From their souls depths.

The cycle goes on and on
Only the fittest survive.

The dark side of nature

Dark side of Scorpio Woman

Under the veil of darkness
The Scorpio Woman waits
For her revenge.
Excitement surges
Through her every fibre
As she waits in anticipation.

She is dangerous,
Intoxicating, mesmerizing.
Her eyes piercing
With hypnotic intensity -
Ever watchful.

A superficial calm outer appearance
Hides her hot inner turmoil.
Her s*xual energy
Betrays her -
Images of tender love
Invade her mind.

Soon the object of her love
Is in her arms,
He must treat her well -
Her sting is fatal.

I know we Scorpio Woman get a bad press, but I am happy being me.

Nature Beguiles Me

My joy was Ephemeral
when I walked deep
into the woods,
human voices could be heard
in the distance;
be silent! I admonished my beating heart.

Wending my way to some
thick foliage, I squatted
till the human voices passed by
to their Sylvian lives,
the afternoon was
fragrant, I almost wept
with joy.

A Rabbit scuttled by
gazed right into my eye
kicked it's back legs
then scurried into a hole.

A huge tree lay felled,
It became a larder for all insects,
there were huge ant's playing piggy-back
or maybe making love,
they say that if ant's were larger
they would rule the world.

The symphony of the trees
around me were manna to my ears,
their long lean bodies and
nodding heads were so graceful,
they would have been the envy
of a Prima-Ballerina.

When I'm alone I become part of nature,
I am nature.
Nature beguiles me, like no lover
or friend ever could.

White Knuckle Madness

She shivered while she walked
Children were laughing
Old men were people watching
She stopped to look in a store window
To look at the flaxen haired models
How beautiful they were with their
Firm young limbs and alabaster skin.

Suddenly she remembered Grandad
Softly singing "Danny Boy"
O how she loved that song
Tears welled in her azure eyes, but
Nothing mattered anymore she lamented
They are all gone the ones she loved
Soon she would be gone too.

On and on she walked in white knuckle madness
Humming to herself "Danny Boy"
Soon the turbulent water was roaring in front of her
Like a moth to a flame she was drawn
Drawn to it's dark turbid depths
Suddenly her hand reached up to her throat
She touched the necklace her kids bought her
For her last birthday-She fell to the ground
She just couldn't do it...................
She wept, and wept.

Liquid Sunset

My heart yearns to dance
The dance of love with you,
In forest glades on tender grass-
Where the birds and bees will join in the
Symphony of our love making.
The drumbeats of our hearts will shake
The core of mother earth,
The little people with cheeky grins will applaud,
Dancing gaily on pine smelling grass,
Emereld eyes alive with merriment.
The ancient wind caressing my tangled hair
Will feel my shuddering ecstasy,
That age old ecstasy known to man
Since the beginning of time,
With your head upon my breast
We'd watch the liquid sunset
Sink over the horizon
To take a rest.

About this poem:
Irelands Little People: The Leprechauns

There are many Irish who swear to have seen the little sprite and many more who believe that they exist. They shun humans, who they believe have an insatiable hunger for wealth, are untrustworthy, thoughtless and easily tricked.

Room At The Top

O how I remember that night,
the long winding staircase
stinking of urine,
you saying
don't worry all
will be fine

I lost my red stiletto shoe
in our haste to
get to the
"Room At The Top"

We were young,
we were hungry
to shed all outer trappings,
hungry to be one
skin on skin

Closing our mind to the
threat of nuclear war,
'The bay of pigs'
brought fear to our
teenage hearts

We wanted to live
before we died,
we knew it all
Mam & Dad knew
nowt

O the stench of urine
in that room,
I remember it till this day,
we could hear mice
scuttling,
leaving their
black death droppings

Soon ...

you reached my inner core,
the life giving womb
of future generations

We became one,
in that stinking ...

Love Lies Bleeding

Love lies bleeding in shades of grey
With only the memory of some
Distant day
Velvet words so soft
And sweet
End in violence on a
Blood soaked street.

Emotions crawl insidious in my
Fevered brain
My madness is insidious
I'm in so much pain
The pain of lost love is hard
To bare
My nightmare's cling like
Autumn leaves In despair.

Like leaves on an autumn tree
Death awaits with grasping claws
Crimson tears fall bleeding,
Vanity a thing that is dead forever.
Parchment skin
Hugs the skeleton of lost beauty
Maybe I am forgiven all my sin.

Heartache and pain are here to stay
Black clouds envelope the manic
Thoughts inside my head.

In fear of these turbid invasions
I slumber in a sea of tranquility
Devoid of emotions.

Pearls

In the stillness of night I search all corners
of my room for you - and yet!
in my heart of hearts

I know you are gone -
gone forever and ever

I caress the pears that fall languid
over my breasts
the pearls you bought me

You would say - no 'English Lady'
should ever be without a string of pearls

You liked me to wear them in bed
where they would lay luminous against
my naked flesh

In this room of solitude and silence
a long shuddering sob escapes my mouth
expelled into the fetid airless room

My hands caress where once your hands caressed
I fall asleep clutching the pearls.

When The Snow Fell

When The Snow Fell
You released me from
A living hell

The fire burned bright in the log cabin
The snow fell silent outside,
You held me close into the night

I threw caution to the wind
Offering you my body with love,
A man like you was so hard to find

Till I met you I had lost the will to live,
You brought joy into my life
I taught you how to jive

We laughed and giggled like kids
We dined on each others bodies
Sucking, tasting kissing eyelids

Nothing my darling was taboo,
We loved and laughed night and day
All my dreams came true just loving you

When the snow fell
You took me to Nirvana.
