My son and his girlfriend were together for thirteen years,but because they were both studying further and very much into their own world .they eventually called it a day as they became more like friends than B/F AND G/F. Today she is married to someone else,but they have remained friends and confide in each other, So yes I do believe couples that break up can remain good friends

Molly Point taken,but with Peednama ,The situation here is that Peednama's concern is just that,being the family leave their country and family behind to make money in other countries,and that to him is the cause for being stressed out. Miclee nice pic Will be very honest I wished that there was not such a thing as xmas---December.Reason being everyone loses it,finds an excuse to get drunk,carnage on the roads is another story. Come the new year ,first four days ,same thing,then when January arrives everyone is scrounging around looking for money to pay school fees,rent and food money.It is insane,therefore I dont celebrate xmas ,but do voluntary work over that period.

shakenheart I believe in God the Father Creator of all mankind,I was brought up in a convent and taught never ever to fear GOD but here is another take on something I remembered many moons ago.
Actually it is a phrase that was used a lot during colonial times used in reference to those who "fear the Lord" and the implication was usually in reference to a "wise religious person of good conscience and action" in accordance with the Proverb that says "the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the lord."

In the OT the high priest's assistants would tremble with fear during the yearly entry into the holy of hollies in the center most area of the tabernacle because if the priest was not ready he could be killed by the presence of god near the arc of the covenant.

Hi Peednama,One thing is sure that without money we were able to make our own playthings to keep us entertained ,like sticks and stones and play our games.We could play for hours and be happy. In today's life we have all the most expensive things that people buy,but yet they are still very unhappy.We go to bed at night worrying about tomorrow,the tax man and the creditors,and that on its own makes us lose sleep because of worry. It’s nice to have money and the things that money can buy, but it’s also important to make sure you haven’t lost track of the things that money can’t buy.

Yamaha I do not celebrate any of these days ,be it a birthday or christmas. My family know when its my birthday I take myself to the beach with a book and sit and read there or carry on writing my book. There is nothing wrong with not celebrating xmas.
