perhaps an almost first hand experience from me. A couple of months ago I was in that state almost. I had severe chest infections & for a couple of weeks had stopped wanting any food altogether. I still wanted water though, I couldn't even make my hand find the light switch! Fortunately for me my daughter got me rushed into clinica, but it was touch & go apparently for 24 hours.
The point is that at that stage of illness the body shuts down & you have absolutely no desire to eat, I wasn't quite far enough gone not to feel thirst. However, in my opinion, it isn't at all cruel. The body knows nothing at all of what is going on & feels absolutely nada, really!
So don't worry if you ever get to that stage, it really is a kindness for the body not to know & to shut down gradually, so even after switching off the life support machine it simply isn't registered. You are definitely not conscious of anything at all. I know I wasn't & not until 36 hours later that I felt really hungry & begged for food, so the nurse brought me chicken & potatoes with bread, I absolutely scarfed it down....................... worst thing is I am vegan!!!!!
seems to me that the Americans are the only ones who repeatedly go on about politics. The rest of the world doesn't appear to be as obsessed! They are extremely annoying to us because the majority of us wouldn't have a clue who is being talked about, but, as has been said, we can easily scroll past.
Miss Bear, I understand that you feel no need for anyone to stand up for you, but in this case there is every need. His outburst was disgusting & if it had been in a bar no doubt someone would have knocked him clean over a few tables & burst his nose for him!
There is absolutely no call for language such as he uses to a lady & I won't stand for hearing it. His threats are just incredible, he needs a good thrashing & I for one would be delighted if he was banned for his shameful behaviour!
Myway, what sort of a gentleman speaks such a way? That was a disgraceful outburst against Miss Bear! Not to mention the dreadful way in which you talk about Miss Merc when she is not on this blog to defend herself!
You really should be ashamed of yourself, the way you react to Mr Conrad is a shameful way of behaving & your comments towards Mr Nam also. You are a coward asking people to meet with you so you can 'talk it out with them' What are you going to do, take them outside & beat them mercilessly?
It really must be awful to realise that you are not very popular on this site but there is no excuse to speak the way you do. I have reported you as no doubt quite a lot more members have also!
I fear you went too far! To also brag about it in a blog is despicable, do you really think it will be acceptable as a fun moment at the time? I agree totally with all that Pattie said & I find it apalling how you relayed it. You try to promote yourself as an educated guy with excellent credentials & yet you blog about something like this............ not quite the done thing really!
I wonder can this blog be described as plagiarism!!!! You are on fire, Harbal, all you need to do now is to disable comments every so often, hide your profile so no-one can mess around in there & then open it up quickly for comments all the while searching for trolls.
that is born again Christian nonsense beliefs that they will all be raptured! There is NOT a verse in Scripture to prove that. Fire also is not correct because the word of God is the 'Fire' that will destroy - not literal flames.
There is a tribulation, as is Armageddon, going on now, not in the 'real world' but in the heavens so no such thing as 7 years tribulation for mankind in general even though the devil is trying to counterfeit the Scriptural signs of the end, so Stringman, sleep soundly.
Ho, hum............................ Goldie Batty, for goodness sake woman, what are you doing reading about a sheep smallholding in Yorkshire! You need to talk with LeeCharming in Wales about sheep, he would be puuuuurect for you But, yes, I could shear Harb for you if you beg nicely........................ I know my way to Barnsley
Miclee has it perfectly to a tee, Usha. I have the same problem/conundrum shortly to face & I will go with Mics' suggestion. Main thing is to go with your own feelings. I will be giving the bride away which fills me with great delight xx
oh, yes, Molly, I remember you mentioned it - at one of your 'meets' so romantic. Do you remember the guy from Denmark who had a gastric band fitted? He met a girl from Vietnam & they are married too & hopefully living happily ever after. There is also RDM & the guy from the forums whose name I can't remember. &&&& the guy who had long hair & the lady who kept huskies, they had a lovely story.
Daniela, the way I see it is that it only becomes a story when it has lasted a lifetime, romantic though it might seem at the beginning, yet it consists only of 2 messages & a shared love of a poem
Yes, you mentioned my heart the other evening & I kinda felt because I don't have any problem with my heart, so you could well be right. Having said that though, I am Taurus & it would take more than a sharp knife in the hands of a world famous heart surgeon to open up my heart. It would be nice to think it could work out though, it's been too long alone & he does seem very gentlemanly & pleasant so far.
I will pop along to your blog now to add my two penn'orth for what it's worth, been busy being a domestic goddess today making a vegan Sunday dinner with 'plastic' chicken, I just have to make the chestnut & mushroom gravy
RE: Cringe Worthy
