Try meeting people somewhere else, outside of dating sites (in real life or virtually - if you like to travel - join travelling sites, etc), make friendships first, without much expectations...
Dating sites are pretty forced and a little unnatural way to meet someone, actually.
Both JimNastics and miclee seem like nice men on blogs. Of course, they might not be men at all. They are - maybe - married housewives with 4 children using photos of their husbands and playing here with us, while the husbands are at work. One never knows...
Well, I'm going on a break from CS to rethink whether I can or want to make some virtual persona like everyone else or stay ME.
Do you really think that anyone here is so important that people would go around the country and even world (!!!) just to find us in real life?! And do what???
This is the only dating site with forums and blogs I've ever used. I did use other general forums and could post in other languages there. I also had no problems chatting in any language on dating sites like Badoo, Tagged, etc.
I used other languages on all other sites I visited. I often chatted with Japanese on international sites and they all supported the Japanese language. However, CS is very old. The site didn't change for many many years and I doubt it will get improved in that area any time soon.
Since people who ask such a question in their first message aren't usually someone who deserve too much effort and attention, I generally replied: "Marriage" and they would disappear.
"Political bots" are very annoying, but they are everywhere nowadays - on every free platform.
There are good specialized forums for people who are really interested in politics where they could have a good debate and learn something.
But, political parties nowadays use every possible way to - either spread their ideas or check out the opinion of their voters on the internet by making fake profiles, so-called "political bots". You can find them on every online newspaper on the internet commenting political articles every day. You can find them opening threads on every free virtual platform (internet forums, Facebook groups...) or constantly repeating the same opinion day after day after day after day on every political topic they find...
I am a member of a forum with various threads and topics where "political bots" get banned from political discussions all the time and they keep coming back with new profiles every day. It's their job - they do nothing else but spreading political ideas on the internet.
There's nothing to be done about it really, but IGNORE.
I had some everyday and romantic situations in mind.
I had a boyfriend once who liked to watch romantic films and often cried if they were sad. It was very unpleasant for me while others thought it was cute, because it showed that he was sensitive.
RE: Dating
That's a good suggestion, Ken.Try meeting people somewhere else, outside of dating sites (in real life or virtually - if you like to travel - join travelling sites, etc), make friendships first, without much expectations...
