Being happy, always see the good in everything, to be thankful for all that you have that is good. A roof over your head, food in the pantry, and a nice warm bed. Having empathy for those less fortunate. Cor gave a pair of nice lined leather gloves to a homeless man. Met him a few years later, and he told us he still had the gloves. We had forgotten about the gloves but it felt good to know the man was still enjoying them.
The Holy of Holies was the innermost chamber in the wilderness tabernacle, a room so sacred only one person could enter it, and then only one day out of the entire year.
This room was a perfect cube, 15 feet in each direction. Only one object was housed there: the ark of the covenant. There was no light inside the chamber other than the glow from God's glory.
A thick, embroidered veil separated the holy place from the Holy of Holies inside the tent of meeting. Regular priests were allowed in the outer holy place, but the Holy of Holies could be entered only by the high priest on the annual Day of Atonement, or Yom Kippur.
On that day, the high priest would bathe, then put on the clean linen garments of the priest. His robe had solid gold bells hanging from the hem. The noise of the bells told the people he was making atonement for their sins. He entered the inner sanctuary with a censer of burning incense, which would produce thick smoke, hiding the mercy seat on the ark where God was. Anyone who saw God would die instantly.
The high priest would then sprinkle the blood of a sacrificed bull and a sacrificed goat on the atonement cover of the ark, to make amends for his and the people's sins.
New Covenant, New Freedom The old covenant God made through Moses with the Israelites required regular animal sacrifices. God lived among his people in the Holy of Holies, first in the desert tabernacle, then in the stone temples in Jerusalem.
Everything changed with the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. When Jesus died, the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom, signifying that the barrier between God and his people was taken away.
On Jesus' death, the first Holy of Holies, or God's throne in heaven, became accessible to every believer. Christians may approach God confidently, not on their own merit, but through the righteousness credited to them by the shed blood of Christ.
Jesus atoned, once and for all, for humanity's sins, and at the same time became our high priest, acting on our behalf before his Father:
Therefore, holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess. (Hebrews 3:1, NIV) No longer does God confine himself to the Holy of Holies, separated from his people. When Christ ascended into heaven, every Christian became a temple of the Holy Spirit, a living dwelling place of God. Jesus said:
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever, the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. ( John 14:16-18, NIV)
One of the very last words uttered by Jesus on the cross, “It is finished” in John 19:30, is one of the most important and poignant. The words, “It is finished” are found only in John 19:30. The Greek word translated “it is finished” is tetelestai, an accounting term meaning paid in full.
Jesus is saying in “It is finished” that the debt owed by man to his Creator on account of Adam’s sin is finally and forever dealt with. Jesus, with “it is finished,” is saying not only does He take away man’s sin, but now He removes it as far as the east is to the west, for is finished, done, signed, and sealed because of the blood of Jesus.
None But Jesus Can Say It Is Finished Before the arrest of Jesus by the Romans, Jesus prayed His last public prayer, where He asked the Father to glorify Him even as He had glorified the Father. He prayed to “finish the work you have given me to do” (John 17:4).
The work of Jesus is to seek and save that which is lost (Luke 19:10) and to provide atonement for sinners whom Jesus died for to reconcile them to God (Romans 3:23-25; 2 Corinthians 5:18-19). None but the Lord God could accomplish and say with the authority of the God-Man, “It is finished” (John 19:30).
Jesus Is the Fulfillment of Prophecy When Jesus said, “It is finished” (John 19:30) He brought about the completion of all the Old Testament prophecies, symbols, and foreshadowing about Himself. From the beginning of Genesis to the end of Malachi, there are 300 detailed prophecies about the Anointed One Jesus, which are fulfilled by Him. From the “seed” who would crush the serpent's head (Genesis 3:15) to the Suffering Servant (Isaiah 53).
The Lord wants us to pray to Him, for that is the way to communicate with us. Is it not mind blowing that the great Creator Himself set it up this way? Yes, He already knows what we want and need before we ask, but that is the thing, He wants us to ask. I sincerely wonder how much I would talk to the Lord in prayer, otherwise. Jesus says; "I am the Way, the Truth, The Life, the Alpha and the Omega Every thing belongs to Jesus, for the Father has given it to Him........... See it this way you are as a non-Christian, under the sentence of death.
Now see yourself in an imaginary jail, waiting to be put to death. There is a knock on the door, it is the warden he is bringing you good news. He tells you that there is someone who is willing to die in your place. The warden wants to know from you, if you want to receive this free pardon, a free gift! What would be your answer to that offer?

If you want to know how you can become one of His children and if this prayer reflects how you feel, repeat this prayer;
Dear Lord and Saviour, I know that I have sinned against you and that I am not living within your plan. For this, I ask your forgiveness. I believe that you died for me, and in doing so, paid the penalty for my sins. I am willing to turn from sin and I now ask you to come into my heart and my life and be my personal Saviour. Help me now, to follow and obey you as Lord and to find your perfect will for my life. Thank you Lord for saving my soul.
God gave us free will he did not create robots. If you want to belong to God's family, you can.
It is up to you to tell Him that you want to be His child.
This is not an automatic thing you must come to Him.
You can come just as you are no need to wait until you are sober, or whatever stands between you and the Lord.
It is your sins that separate you from your Father in Heaven.
He knows that you are a sinner He wants to help you change.
You have tried to do that yourself already and as you have discovered, it does not work. You need His help.
I believe that the Lord wants to help you more than you want to be helped.
If you are on drugs, he can set you free.
What ever your problem is, He can and will help you.
Why don't you let Him? I know that you will never be sorry that you did. Being a Christian is to me, very exciting I know that this is just the start; many good things are waiting for us now, and later.
Without salvation that only Jesus Christ can give you, you won't get eternal life. Jesus says that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

A friend from work came over for a visit, at the time I lived in a small appartment, 1 bedr, 1 bath. The apartment was 15 stories high and It gave me a beautiful view of Mt. Baker, what a treat. My friend wanted to see my Mustang so I looked for my keys. We looked everywhere, no keys. Called a neighbour, as I also needed my keys to close my front door, Sorry Jenny I can not help until 5 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Oh boy panic, I had to work and leave my apt open. My friend left and I thought oh yeh I could pray..................I did so and walked into my bathroom ,on the counter was my make-up bag that I hardly ever used and yes hallo keys, how did you get in there?

Human beings are like little children at times. We need help and daddy says; "Let me help you child" Will we let Him, like most three year old we say; "No, I can do it myself" Only when we get ourself in trouble will we allow the Father's help. ...................
Butcher none of us can even come close, take the "Love your neigbor like yourself" Lord that is a very big one as I don't love everyone and tell Him so. The only one who is pefect is Jesus. We have to try to be good but don't succeed a lot of times............. We are still human Butcher
