Healing and other miracles, the Holy Spirit at work............ One example is Amanda Boan, an 11-year-old who shunned foot surgery to remove an extra bone in her foot that caused her foot to twist to the side, leaving her with great pain and a limited ability to run. Boan was baptized during a Sunday-night service and continued to believe for her healing. At a service soon afterward, Boan went up to the altar and experienced instant healing: “It was like my foot was tight and then it was loosened.”
She could place her foot flat on the floor and run around the church without pain. Doctors confirmed she no longer needed surgery.Amy Ransom also received healing. For almost three decades, Ransom suffered debilitating migraine headaches that also affected her financially due to the out-of-pocket medication costs. During a Sunday-night service, Ransom knew after fasting and praying she had been healed.
“I have gone from having daily migraines for 28 years to none,” Ransom says.And Donna Posey, a longtime Christ Fellowship member, says God healed her of bone loss in her mouth during the second revival service in February. The condition had lingered for years, and because she didn’t have enough bone to support her dentures, implant surgery was her only option. After fervent prayer for the affected area, Posey visited her dentist, who confirmed 30 percent bone gain in her mouth. Posey says her dentist “looked at my X-ray and asked me if I believed in miracles.”
But healings and deliverance aren’t all this move of God has produced. It has had a profound spiritual effect on other churches in the region.“We’re watching people from all faiths come here and receive what the Holy Spirit has for them,” Allen says. “Not only are we seeing salvations and miracles, but we’re seeing reconciliation among the churches here, the body of Christ really working together. You are literally seeing the miracle of unity. Our church has seen renewed prayer exponentially. Our people are now interceding for Todd’s church and for others. It’s amazing.”
Awake, and repent, for the day of the Lord is near. Prepare yourselves for a Great Shaking, birth pangs, which are imminent and precede that day. “I BELIEVE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANY CHRISTIAN TO BE EFFECTIVE EITHER IN HIS LIFE OR IN HIS SERVICE UNLESS HE IS FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO IS GOD’S ONLY PROVISION FOR POWER.”– Revivals and awakenings are times of great outpouring of God’s Spirit. By definition they are excessive. It is like Christmas. And while the idea is appealing, Christmas doesn’t happen every day. In fact, life would be quite bizarre, excessive, and unbalanced if it did.
If we attempt to make the excessive nature of revivals normative, it can lead to an imbalance in our life, our walk with God, and particularly our understanding of the Holy Spirit’s ministry in us. Historically, it has at times done all of these. So, to gain all of the spiritual blessings of praying for, anticipating, and experiencing revival, while eliminating the negative side-effects of extremism, we want to review what the Spirit-filled life is.
Believers Are All Indwelt by the Spirit
When you became a Christian, Christ indwelled you through the person of the Holy Spirit. I know neither the how nor the where, but I do know that the Holy Spirit’s indwelling presence carries with it the assurance of our salvation. “Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession” (Ephesians 1:13-14).
We are now God’s possession, and the Holy Spirit is, in effect, the down payment on His purchased property—that would be you. Like the idea expressed through the marriage ceremony, receiving Christ is a one-time decision. We don’t awake each morning to a fresh need to say, “I do”; once was enough. Having received Christ, we became children of God. “To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12).
In theory, I could tell my parents that I no longer wished to be in their family, but I can never change the reality that I am their son. It’s an established fact on the basis of my birth. I can sever our fellowship but not our relationship. And as there was not one thing we did to earn our salvation, so there is nothing we can ever do to lose it—we are eternally Christ’s. But the Holy Spirit is more than simply an assurance of our salvation. It is through the Spirit that God enables and empowers us to live the Christian life.
REVIVAL. Sure would love to be in one today............... The 1904–1905 Welsh Revival was the largest Christian revival in Wales during the 20th century. It was one of the most dramatic in terms of its effect on the population, and triggered revivals in several other countries. "The movement kept the churches of Wales filled for many years to come, seats being placed in the aisles in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Swansea for twenty years or so, for example. Meanwhile, the Awakening swept the rest of Britain, Scandinavia, parts of Europe, North America, the mission fields of India and the Orient, Africa and Latin America."

Rimmer's account shows this: Someone, a scientific person skeptical of the literal truth of the Bible, accidentally discovers (through astronomical calculation) that "the earth is twenty-four hours off schedule." Prof. Totten says, "Of course, just check your Bible to see if you can account for your missing time."
The skeptic reads Joshua and finds that only 23 hours and 40 minutes were lost when Joshua made the sun stand still. "If the Bible made a mistake of forty minutes, it is not the Book of God!" God was apparently in a good mood that day, and accepted the modification of the original plan. Why, one wonders, is it a "light thing" to make the shadow advance ten degrees, but miraculous to make it go back ten degrees? Of course the natural direction of shadow motion is an advance. Surely God wasn't proposing the normal rate of advance, but must have been proposing something miraculous, like a sudden advance. Let's credit God with some intelligence! I'd certainly be equally impressed with a sudden motion of the shadow in either direction. Rimmer concludes, This settles the case, for ten degrees on the sundial is forty minutes on the face of the clock!"
Fourth, did you know the Bible is the only book in the world that has accurate prophecy? When you read the prophecies of the Bible, you simply have to stand back in awe. There are over 300 precise prophecies that deal with the Lord Jesus Christ in the Old Testament that are fulfilled in the New Testament. To say that these are fulfilled by chance is an astronomical impossibility.
Finally, the Bible is not a book of the month, but the Book of the ages. First Peter 1:25 says: “But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the Word which by the gospel is preached unto you.” No book has ever had as much opposition as the Bible. Men have laughed at it, scorned it, burned it, ridiculed it, and made laws against it. But the Word of God has survived. And it is applicable today as much as it was yesterday and will be tomorrow.

The year is August 2010 I have met my soon-to-be new husband. Cor says you have an unusual last name, (it was still Hugo's) Yes even in Holland it was only carried by his family as far as we knew Cor goes on to tell me that he knew someone by that last name. That he smoked a pipe and that he worked in a large hospital as Director of food service......... I was shocked, you are talking about my late husband Hugo. Now Cor is shocked, Hugo and I used to be friends, we often met at another couples home went for walks together etc. and now I am courting his wife? I did not know he married nor that Hugo had died in 2006 We lost touch the last few years as I spent a lot of time in Europe. I was seldom back in Canada really............... What an amazing coincidence for this to happen. Cor and I married in September 22nd 2011 ....................
A pastor had a radio program where you could ask for prayer. Young girl; "Please pray for my grandma" Pastor; "Is your grandma saved?" "oh ya she was baptized" The pastor now knows that grandma and nor this young girl are not yet saved. I also heard someone telling; "Don't worry about me, I have been baptized.......... It does worry me as you are not saved. If water could save then Jesus died on the cross for nothing......................

In the summer of 2005 Hugo and I spent 7 weeks in Australia and 3 days in Hong Kong. In January 11th 2006, Hugo died.........he was only 62 years old We had been married 21 years and 20 days..............

I met Hugo in April of '84. Married 22nd of December. I had been on my own for 20 years...... Having worked as the Director of Food Service in a large hospital in Vancouver, being in charge of 10,000 meals a day. The menu read like a restaurant, 7 choices. We later met doctor's who told him that it was their highlight eating in the hospital. The hospital closed so having worked there 12 years, he ended up running a restaurant that was losing money, even with catering it still did not make it as the rent including 6 parking paces that came to $9,000 a month, it closed after almost two years. Hugo went to see someone at the airport as the restaurant was by the Vancouver airport. This friend told Hugo he knew of a company that needed a consultant to find them $100.000 dollars. Hugo found it in ten minutes. They were stunned and did not want to let him go yet had no other job for him at the time so put him in a "holding tank" "Science World" After about one year, That company then found him the job in Carlton University in the capital of Canada, Ottawa. 10 restaurants was his job there. 9 of the managers were women and only one was a man.
My neighbours were missionaries in Mexico for several years. Then the lady became ill. It did not look good. I never figure some things out but just do follow what I feel I must do. Cora, are you sure? That was all it took. No Jenny I am not. Okay Cora lets make sure, and she repeated the sinner's prayer. This lady was so very relieved because she knew her time to leave this planet was getting close, Her face just shone, I left her with a few scriptures like; "There is now no condemnation to them, who are in Christ Jesus,.........Romans 8-1 I can do all things through Christ He strengthens me" ........Phil 4-13

Having moved to California in '64, I became a Christian in, '75.............. I had been seeking answers, driving a few people bonkers asking questions. In all it took me about 5 years. Found my answers in a most unusual way, but then I do a lot of things that are unusual I told one lady that I had found Jesus. "Really you did? I never knew that He had been lost"

That was nice of your ex to leave you those pictures hplady. Nice also when you find a picture and being able to say; "Hey that looks so much like me" I love looking at old pictures. Mom never took good care of them, we had no camera, so it was a street photographer . I lost most of all my pictures when I crashed my old computer, Tech's try to get them from the hard drive but were not successful
