I dated a black man when I was in my 20s. My parents hated him the first time they met him. They didn’t hate him because he was unemployed. They didn’t hate him because they found out we’d been dating for two years when they met him. My parents hated him because his skin was too dark. They hated him because he was black.
On the whole it seems low-income families received the least benefit, while high-income families benefited the most. The rich get richer in other words.
My daughter is a far left liberal, and she claims Republicans want to do away with Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. I can't find any evidence of this.
I think the public has just grown numb to it. All the mass shootings, just a part of every day life now. Something you have to accept. Deal with it and move on.
