It doesn't take much effort to say "thx but no thx".
To say "have a taco" is even easier and means much the same thing but at least it is a response. In general, responses help with keeping this site active and worthwhile.

I recently got myself a Canon IXUS 100IS ( 12 Mega pixel )
It is very compact and robust ( 85 x 55 x 18 mm ) and does everything, video, sound the lot. Fits into a pocket very easily so you don't look like a tourist walking about with something big and steelable around your neck ! Hope this helps, check it out on the web, better deals online I think.

I am an atheist but respect the views and beliefs of others. When I enter the religious threads it is to ask the believers valid questions such as, why the need to have a belief, why is there no need for evidence etc. But I never get their direct personal views as a reply, it is usually streams of quotes from the bible which I didn't ask for. I am here to learn and understand others, that's all. I try and reserve my jokes and cheekiness to the mainstream threads, but I am guilty of the odd jibe slipping out. I do appologise for that......

Life is ..... a very long time in jail if you are very bad ....

It is to be enjoyed as there may be only one shot at it.
Be good to yourself and to others, be loving, giving and forgiving.
Do pretty much as you wish as long is does not effect or hurt any others in getting what you want. If you have dependants be responsible and do the right thing by them. Have pride in yourself, show respect where it is due and be true, mentally strong and honorable.

I think that the effort made to contribute here by the non native English speakers is great. Many are here to learn and improve on our language and should be applauded not chastised !

How many foreign languages do you speak and spell perfectly ?

As for those born into this language I am sure they don't mean to misspell things, not everyone is blessed with perfection and I sure am one of those !

I know what you mean, for many the need for love can seem as extreme as that of a religious fanatic, or a drug adict. There are other ways to exist contentedly. It is all in the mind.

Traveling by train sure is the best way by far to see a new counrty, if it is not traveling too fast but I see that you did not have that problem..

The rate of progress and change there is incredible isn't is, the cost must be gigantic and they can still afford to lend nearly $ 1 Trillion to the US !
