Fight against being boring!! im gonna acheive it!!

Ah Presti, what’s now? You see romance when it’s least noticeable to me!!! Brushing off gently? Well, "a mago" a worrier, and "a sumo" a wrestler should be considered as equals. They can fight, take blows and still survive. A delicate dreamer cant take such blows and should be spared from such hazardous situations :-) Enough reasoning?

Fight against being boring!! im gonna acheive it!!

Hey ladies, thanks for the comments.. Apostophe, u mean smell in a nice way, right? :-)

By the way the flower in the pic is called "temple flower" in Sri Lanka, and it has a sweet fragrance..

RE: EXECELLENT LIFE........

Bit of a peculiar version of life!!! Starting from the first line, it talks about life being excellent. Well have heard the terms like “life is a gift” or “Life is precious” and also have heard of the popular term that “Life is not a bed of roses”, but the blog expresses this totally different view which is “Life is excellent” or "to have a belief that Life is excellent”. To me, its ridiculous to think that “Life is excellent”. And its amusing to hear that “life is the most excellent of all the virtues?”. Its pretty obvious that Mr.Stevano is a little confused about the concepts of “virtues” and “life”… Sad to say that the whole blog is just a jumble of words and poorly written…

Quoting form the blog, “Life has always provided each and every one of us with the very best, all times, all instances, always in all ways.” Well, is this factually true or just superficial? Any human being knows that life is a series of incidents or situations which can be either good or bad, happy or sad, bitter or sweet, winning or losing and the list goes on.. Facing the fact that the “Life is a challenge” could be a better approach than living in a dream that “life is excellent”.

If you try to say, in short, “to live a worthy life”, I would agree. But to say that “life is excellent” or “Excellent life” or “life has bestowed us with excellence” are some unconvincing and worthless statements!!

RE: If I am soo wonderful, why am I still alone?

Well..Lady Olessya1, i wish that your genuine effort is to share with the others, what you believe as useful. Must say that, I have not read this book yet and the things you have written about the book do not interest me, but I might read it, if i see it somewhere, for sheer curiosity.

Sharing good things is always good, and we have seen quite a few of self-help blogs on this site as well. However, your blog sounds to me (and seems like to some others as well) like a promotional attempt of this wonderful book you'v read. Sadly, your blog dosnt sound like an unbiased review or a committed testimonial. It simply sounds like "go, buy, read"!!!. YOu may have meant something else, but to us readers, it sounded like a promotion.

I dnt think that anyone will dispute the fact that reading, specially classical fictions takes you thru some experiences that you wouldnt have otherwise achieved in ur lifetime. Some books move us, just like some movies do, as the experience of reading or seeing that perticular insident might creat an impact on our entire life.

Self-help does not get into that category. It does not influence you to use your imagination to create an insight..it dsnt induce you to compare your own creativity with the material, because, before reading the book, by looking at the cover, you know, you are going to find answers for somthing you lack or something you are struggling to find in life..Its strictly not an insight to your life, its readymade material designed for someones problem. Just like you buy some medicine for some ailment you have. You expect the book to cure you, show you a way, find answers to your questions.

I personally dnt belive in reading self-help and putting into practice the exact thing I read in those books..Specially, relationship theories. (some others may think otherwise) As i believe, there are no theries for relationships, due to various reasons. Mainly, a relationship is based on two entirely different persons. You can buy or find a book and follow its theories but can you control the changes in the thinking patterns/mindset of your counterpart? In such a situation you following a specific theory is uttly uselss. The responses to this very blog say it all, if all are accepting the theories, all will be well and fine, however, its not so!! people are different and tastes are different!! my point is, if a theory of a self-help book to be effective and to make an impact, it should be read and followed by all or most of the people you associate, in other words the whole community should accept that theory or guideline without disputing it. Will it ever happen? Will one's knowledge on realtionship theories can control life situations? seriously doubtful!!!

My personal view is reading a well written fiction can create a better impact and insight to human relationships, than reading a ready made self-help book, designed directly to deliver you the results (and ofcourse results to the author) and promise you with better days!! Humans are unpredictable unique creatures, text book theories might create a small percentage of impact on the unpredictability of such creatures!! yes yet reading those are lil better than not reading anything at all, provided that the reader can continue to live without a the aid of text books..

RE: Human Experiences....

Its amazing the way you add blogs to CS site on daily and on hourly basis. Undoubtedly, you are a great asset to the CS community. The CS community is blessed to have someone like you who reads a lot and re-produce in your own words, the things you read as lots of ppl today have no time to stop and read a good book or life educational inspiring writings, though those are available in plenty.

At the same time, hope you would be bold enough to experiment innovative writing styles too in the future and will bring out some not so stereo type topics using your brilliant writing skills..
