lost a parent meself too .... I was approx. still a kid bck then ... I never went to his grave after the funeral; not even on father's day. I don't keep a pic of him; nothing which was his around me....

fear of rejection does of course make one lose opportunities ... I've been rejected like a contagious dog, kicked out, scorned at, laughed at, disgusted and all sorts ... perhaps ... that's why I'm so numb to rejection ...
WORST than rejection are stereotypes and what I call 'social expectations' ... like, a girl has to be slim and petite to be attractive; likewise, a guy has to be tall and strong ... us pipsqueaks are hopeless case... on the other hand, a guy must earn more than his woman.. ermm ... he must be taller than her ... ermm ... he's expected to be more assertive than her ... list is endless ...
I myself find it difficult to distance meself from this stuff and it is this stuff which poses the largest hazard in missin the so called 'perfect match'/'made-to-measure match' and even 'the right one' ....
If only we could stop bothering about trifle stuff as the mentioned above and just mind the way we feel around a person ... I believe it would be a way wiser approach in findin 'love' ...

Thing is that, what guarantee do u have that a decently-clothed girl is indeed in for a serious relationship? alright, u might say, odds are that a girl with a more decent picture is in for serious stuff more than the counterpart; lemme tell ya that that's only an assumption!
Some girls do think that that is the way to attract a guys attention without actually realising what sort of attention they'd be attracting like that! Others like it and are confident enough to do it ...In both case, what is done is no harm and was done in good faith ....

of course it's normal and what the doc proved has been suspected and hypothised since the dawn of time ... I personally have always supported this theory here on this website, for all that matters. Of course, as expected I got lots of resistance and frawns.... but anyways... FACT IS:
