RE: what does drinking alcohol do for you...?

gets my whole body feeling a little warm. Sometimes it weakens the body a little. If I am drinking on a regular basis then I do not feel it like that so much. But I have not been one to usually drink constantly. I had a glass of very dark beer with a client the other day for the first time in over a year. It was nice but that was all.
Do you drink often Pedro?

RE: wonder if there is any real guy out here

Welcome and I do hope it gets better. My Grandfather was from Austria. Not Germany but close proximity. When I was staying in Budapest I learned that there is a very high population of German and German speaking people there. I sure did like that place.

RE: yaaa its black friday

The huge population centers around Lake Ontario in Canada have always attracted cross border shopping into the U.S. states, and as Black Friday became more popular in the U.S., Canadians often flocked to the U.S. because of their cheaper prices and a stronger Canadian dollar. After 2001, many were traveling for the deals across the border. In 2009 several major Canadian retailers had their own version of the day by running promotions to discourage shoppers from leaving for the U.S. Canada's Boxing Day is comparable to Black Friday in terms of retailer impact and consumerism, but Black Fridays in the U.S. seem to provide deeper or more extreme price cuts than Canadian retailers, even for the same international retailer.

More recently, Black Friday has been exported to nations outside of North America such as the United Kingdom by major online retailers like Amazon and Apple. In 2011, IBM reported online Black Friday sales were up 24.3% according to a study that included 500 retailers.

RE: yaaa its black friday

I never went to sleep..lol, I have been debating if I should go and get a special deal on one or two microphones, though not as good as the main one I have the deal is so good and they are "Shure" mics...normally 100 dollars down to 25 they would do good in my studio. I know that the line will be huge and they will sell out fast. lol...I think I will just see if I have the energy to go in a hour or just go to sleep. It would have been nice if I knew someone that has used the same ones. I guess I will know either way very soon.

RE: my first blog out of the hospital

Hi Teddy, good to see you are writing away, how long is your recovery expected to last? I am facing a difficult time right now in that I have been told by one doctor that I need major Surgery either right now or if and when I start having complications. Unfortunately he is a specialist and the only one in Oregon or Washington here where I live,,,,but I have went through similar Abdominal surgery first 30 and also about 20 years back...I remember it was very hard to recover the second time and the idea of being isolated and with no help is kinda scary.
I want to also thank you for being a good sport when I came into the blogs just the other week or so...I had been here before but did not interact with anyone that much.
Heal up and stay strong.

RE: Drama Queen / King Vs. Easy-Going

Though it might not be a popular answer, I do believe that many times (and in my experience), people while asking to "omit" certain things they in fact "are" or posses that characteristic themselves. Also they may in a unknowing way be asking for that one thing even though they say otherwise. An example might be when you see a couple that one sees the other in a dysfunctional way yet when confronted with that dysfunction become very defensive in a protective way about their spouse or significant other. I remember years ago a very well built manly man attempted to stop a couple at a bar from arguing. In his surprise the one that seemed the victim turned on him and knocked him down while the husband then joined in......even though during the evening the complaining by the one had been quite vocal. People are odd creatures in my experience. I have interacted with them in many different situations and I am still surprised to a point of dismay, especially when I thought I truly understood what they were asking for. Just lastly I do believe that some people do know what they want and simply avoid it whether they know it or not.

RE: dissapointed

I can sure relate to promises and manipulations that seem to convolute the idea of what a promise is. whether here or the material world I think our word is all we have sometimes. Sorry to hear of your disappointment.

RE: about Immigrants..

So now that the statement is made, is it something to learn from or just keep it going so it looks like it is ok in this present day? My question is if it was wrong then, why would it be ok now?
Not my quest, just a question that came to mind. Or can we all go back in time and give our lives to a myriad of wandering souls? Sacrifice what we are and give back what happened on days gone by?
Or whose picture will be on this poster in 20 years or less?
hmmmm.

RE: To all bloggers

I had lost a friend from long ago to cancer and had no one to talk with and I used the blog to help me deal with it.....and it did, a lot of nice people out there.

RE: Is my Ethnicity the reason?

First I have to say Thank You for sharing yourself here. I truly don't know why rejection is so common. I have felt it many times(too much too count} I was born here in the US and I always wanted to be somewhere else, finally in my late 30's I did travel but it was just a moment here and then a day there. In my 40's I went to Budapest and fell in Love with that place as though I was born there. I don't know if I will ever return, but I hope if I do that the feeling I felt still remains. I wish you happiness and that rejection leaves you and you feel that special feeling you dreamed of before you came.

RE: Pork Causes Several Diseases

but seriously..can they have Turkey pork?? it does not really have the pig in it. or a Turkey Ham??? it might be quite popular for those that want that pork taste without the pig??? maybe not perfect but a way to suffice.
I hope it really catches on.
cheers!

RE: Where is the Love?

I still believe. I agree with what you say here. ;-} It is possible. I think that it is great when good people can stay together forever. It does happen.
All the best.

RE: Is there anyway to get an ex out of your head?

My suggestion is, create a new memory, If you don't have a girl to move on with than A meaningless night or weekend of good clean fun can really wash away some of that hurt. I wish I was clever enough to take my own advice but where I live it is so hard to find a GF or even a one night stand...and I've not really been one for those, but I think it would help. I had people tell me to get drunk and I agree that is just not for me. But I do think once "you", meaning anyone,,me included realizes that there really is another, than you will feel much much better. not to be blunt but go get yourself laid man. I hope you already have and that you are doing better.
Good Luck.

RE: Confusing men!!!

I went all the way...I flew here and there. talk about air miles..I got married..changed my whole life to get through the visa immigration and at the last moment, year later she bailed. Now..she wont even acknowledge me or send the Divorce papers that I even allowed her lawyer to sign my name on. Commitment?? I have always went the distance. It works both ways. for you, you have a criteria..for me..today...I have mine too...I got tired of flaky people,,just for the record. I have met a few that ended up being friends, but that is not what we are talking about here. It hurts like hell!! good luck to you though,
