Sounds like you've spent more time than me there and probably more recent. It's certainly not a family holiday destination thats for sure and yes, it can be a dangerous country. I didn't mention we were ambushed twice and during the course of a 27 hr bus journey our drive was beaten three times and also suffered a broken toe...
But as I've found in other Islamic countries I have visited, in the main, real warmth and hospitality is the norm.
'For them it's a part of the path to self realisation, maybe you could call it an 'outing' of the ego, finally coming face to face with the true self. The feelings of loss and separation that follow can be devastating. You could say for them, comparatively speaking, ignorance truly was bliss.
The genuine welcome I found from the people in Pakistan was a very humbling experience.
Most of my time there was high up in the Northwest Frontier Region where people just wanted to help us as much as they could, quite often without asking for, or expecting any payment.
It was much the same in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Although much the same as any large cities, there was a slight edge there that wasn't apparent in the mountains, except perhaps when we bumped into a bunch of Mujahideen and even they treated us well. There's little doubt that, for me, Pakistan still remains by far, the friendliest country I have visited.
To give love, to truly love another is to always wish for their well being. Love is absent when a person wishes harm on another and jealousy is harmful. You cannot be happy or content at the same time as feeling jealousy.
I would say that would be driven by mistrust, an offshoot of jealousy, but not necessarily jealousy in itself. Jealousy and envy are very similar insomuch as they both involve a person wanting something that some else has and they can't have.
Yes, the American Constitution was written on paper made from pot. The early American flags were made from it and I'm sure I've read the parachute used by Ronald Reagan during his limited service in ww2 was made from pot.

Yes the ' bent banana brigade' finally got their way and Little Englanders can rejoice. Whilst out there in the whitewash their daily scandal sheets continue to give them the drugs to keep them all white.
Sometimes things happen that seem beyond just coincidence. I have had so many apparent coincidental experiences over the years, some of which have been seemingly beyond the realms of reason.
Remember the old song...."love and marriage goes together like a horse and carriage?" Well it didn't used to, that's a fairly recent supposition. Marriage was purely to keep the family unit together and further the species. Romance and marriage came much later introducing the masses to the myth of romantic love. To suggest that jealousy is some kind of benchmark towards really caring for another is, imo, way off the mark. A jealous person has only their own interests at heart.
True love comes when there isnt the surly shark of self interest lurking beneath the surface, as there most definitely is with any amount of jealousy. It can't be dressed up in any other way.
Jealousy could be described as a natural emotion, part of the human condition, in fact it can be observed in non human species. However, it should it get out of control it can become a most destructive emotion. To recognise jealousy and be aware it of its presence is the first step towards the realisation of one's insecurity and a possible step towards ones own personal growth. Just like we learned if we touch the hot flames we will get burned, we can learn that jealousy can eventually leave us scarred.
I, as well as 99% of climate scientists, believe global warming is a scientific facf and its happening now. What is not proven is what's causing it. However, almost all studies conclude that global warming is being driven, in the main by excessive pollution.
It's unfortunate that many are still ignorant to the proven fact that the 2009 Climategate scandal was in fact fake news.
