Regarded by many as the best rock guitarist of his generation.
"As good as Clapton was, he couldn't touch Peter Green."
Sadly and reputedly too much acid left him unable to continue with what surely would have been an outstanding career at the top. He became a recluse and rumour has it he even spent some time working as a garbage collector for his local council and refused to even pick a guitar up. So it was with great pleasure I saw him being interviewed a few years ago looking well and seeming very happy.
Fortunately he'd did continue for a short while after leaving Fleetwood Mac resulting in a wonderfull instrumental 1970 album titled somewhat prophetically now, The End of the Game proving his masterly rock guitar playing was second to none, (maybe Hendrix excluded.)
If you like rock guitar treat your ears to this, but turn it up loud....
I've noticed that some completely innocuous posts are receiving thumbs down. I'm sure if this feature wasn't anonymous it would be a different story. Thumbs up and thumbs down was introduced originally on here many years ago but back then the thumb was much larger and more obvious. The same behaviour crept in making the feature pointless not to mention the trouble it was causing. It seems by making the thumbs smaller and less conspicuous admin perhaps believed it was a good idea to re-introduce them.
Many years ago I knew someone who was a colour blind bus driver. He was only allowed to drive two different routes because both routes didn't have any traffic lights. I don't think that would be allowed or even possible these days.
I heard a review of it on radio 4 and ordered it the same day. The 'suffering' quote is an old Buddhist saying made popular in recent times by Haruki Murakami.
Some dogs won't stay in a buggy, I bought Bodie's off someone who's dog refused to stay in it.The first time I took Bodie out in it he jumped out and I ran over him with the buggy.
I know what it's like. I had two years of pulling Bodie in a buggy attached to my bike. He used to get a lot of attention though. People would ask me to stop sign the could take his pic sat proud in his buggy.
I remember when pubs in England had very strict rules as to when they could open. During the week from 2 pm to 5pm, close at 1030pm except Friday and Saturday it was 11 pm. Sunday close at 3pm to 7pm, close at 10.30. In parts of Wales pub were not allowed to open all day. Most counties in Wales were know as wet or dry on a Sunday. The more forward councils, especially in the tourist ares change to 'wet' sooner than others.
Spent time in Uganda including 27k of grade 5 white water rafting on the Nile. Travelled around Goa and Karnataka in India. Did a road trip from San Francisco to the tip of Baja, camping on remote beaches by t Sea of Cortez and back to SF. Travelled around Panama staying in huts by both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Spent most of 2017 and 2018 doing volunteer work in mainland Europe and the uk.
All of that was done on a very small budget, rough and ready.

R.I.P. Peter Green.
Yes that's what I remember. I was expecting a kind of gaunt frail looking figure after all he'd been through. It was a pleasant surprise.
