Yes it could count under mental health, your fear could turn ito a phobia, or already be a phobia. Have a look at the link i posted earlier in the thread.
"The ego, our consciouse sense of who we are, is an affectively charged cluster of replicated experience. It is the central complex of consciousness whose boundaries are fluid, malleable and easily violated. We need ego to conduct the business of conscious life, to mobilise psychic energy and direct it towards goals, to maintain a degree of self consistency and continuity so we can move from day to day, context by context. But the central project of the ego is security which, understandably, stands over against the surge of unconscious material from within, and encounters the massive onslaught of energies from without. Given this project, this ineluctable, obsessive desire for security, the ego becomes a nevous nelly running about the parlour of life, picking up the clutter, dusting everywhere, making it even more uncomfortable to visit. From the ego's narrow view of the world, the task is security, dominance and the cessation of conflict, however the proper role of the ego is to stand in a dialogic relationship with Self and the world."
Not a copy and paste, just a copy using my phone, thats why it took a while...
Yes, 'ego' and 'karma,' for that matter have negative connotations for many. We are all influenced by both, sometimes in a good way, sometimes not so good.
You make it sound like ego is something bad, something better not to have. We need ego to survive, to negotiate our way through life. Kept in check, ego is the basis of a balanced and healthy mind. Allowed to run loose unchecked, it can be the source of most human suffering and delusions.
P/Assist ebikes require effort to use. In fact the chances are, due to the fact that you use them more often and cycle many more miles, they actually keep you fitter. I've cycled regularly for around 60 years, my ebike should ensure i carry on for a few more years to come, especially as its a mountain bike....it's a dream come true for me as most off my cycling is off road and now i can go back to some of the routes i used to do many years ago.
I dont think you can describe ego as an emotion, more a driver of emotion. Ego is really just a sense of self, or a sense of how we feel our(selves) ought to be. Its influenced to more or lesser degrees by our experienceces, most of the time demanding autonomy and always wants to rule the roost...
Just like ego is not always feeling superior to others, (in fact it could be just the opposite,) pride is not always feeling superior to others. Its just not quite that black and white.
You cannot separate the two. Pride manifests to different degrees, ego controls to different degrees. There has to be crossover, where excessive pride (a dissilusioned state,) is activated, its a sure sign an inflated ego, (sense of self) is at work. Both can add massively to the illusional sense of self.
Ego and pride are both very much from the mind. Pride can come from a self assured and confident mind, or from a weak and grasping mind. The latter will always be fundamentally ego driven. Either way, ego plays its part in varying degrees, especially when pride is really just a way of boosting the damaged ego that's fueling it.
I attached to you your ability to insult others in a language other than your own. Something you clearly displayed on your post. The thing is though, insults carry little weight if they're devoid of any truth or miss the mark completely. I'd be the first to admit, English people are lazy when it comes to learning other languages, it's just not seen as important as it might be by people of other, particularly European countries. But there's always a way of communicating other than in a common language. Quite often part of the fun and challenge when travelling far afield.
Stereotyping can lead to a blinkered view of the world. I travel a lot to many different countries, usually off the beaten track. English has always got me through, although I guess if any language would have been of benefit at times, it's Spanish, Panama comes to mind. Lazy at leaning languages I might be...boring, I don't think so...
Nowhere or nothing exists outside of your own reality and there is no place to be outside of your own reality. 'No thing' exists independently from its own side, you cannot separate yourself from your perception of reality.
RE: share, it helps.Mental Health
Indeed??Sharing with others when having anxiety or depression can be really helpful....
PROVIDING IT'S DONE IN A NON CRITICAL NON JUDGEMENTAL AND SUPPORTIVE WAY.
Hardly what we've come to expect on here.
