RE: Revenge or forgiveness

To feel the need for revenge is a form of suffering. Forgiveness will free you from that suffering.
It's really quite simple.

RE: Buyer beware

It's unfortunate that there are people around who would use this platform for vengeful purpose, and I'm not suggesting the OP is one of them.
But, more harm than good can be cause by allowing or condoning public outings, it can become a very slippery slope indeed.

RE: Buyer beware

I also can understand what you're saying, but if this kind of 'outing' is allowed it opens the door for all kinds of accusations about other members.
For all we know, these claims could be completely bogus, or not, we just don't know for certain.
She should write to admin to let them know of her concerns and let them deal with it.
There have been many cases in the UK where totally innocent people have been victimised or even seriously injured by so called name and shame situations.
There's right and proper ways of dealing with this and I don't believe naming someone on a public forum is the correct way of going about it.

RE: Buyer beware

Totally against site rules....and for very good reasons imo.

RE: Is being religious a strong minded person with faith, or for the weak minded?

I believe it quite the opposite. It's the conditioning that keeps a person from the awarness of that which can't be seen, touched, felt or smelled.
It has to be experienced in a way beyond our rational thoughts. True faith is something you experience, not measure.

RE: Is being religious a strong minded person with faith, or for the weak minded?

I'm talking about faith on an emotional level not faith in the sense of believing something to be true even if it can't be rationally demonstrated.
The sanscrit word for faith is shraddha, which also means confidence or devotion. It's confidence in oneself and inner thoughts, also devotion to good actions. Good meaning to cause no harm or distress to others.
Faith of this kind will bring joy to yourself and those around you.

BTW, I'm just outside Haverfordwest at the moment.

RE: Is being religious a strong minded person with faith, or for the weak minded?

Indeed jac, true faith takes strength, courage and commitment, signs of a strong but clear mind.

Good to see you btw.

RE: Dying

Far from it, the realisation and total awareness of this truth creates a joy and appreaviation of the life we have, and reminds us to live it to the full.

RE: Dying

Many would disagree with that.

RE: Dying

When you wake up in the morning, repeat to yourself ten times, "I might die today, " which is an absolute fact. Far from being a depressing thought, it makes the day that little bit more special.

RE: Does Life Have Any True Meaning? Enlighten Us All....

"Does Life Have Any True Meaning? Enlighten Us All".

"The title of this thread contains a subtle pun.
In buddism the meaning of life is to become enlightened."
