I've experienced the same thing but after driving around in Montreal (in the 70's) trying to find my way to the highway I wanted I was frustrated and doing the "guy" thing (not asking for directions). After some arguement with my girlfriend I stopped and asked directions at a gas station and it turned out to be run by Irishmen (phewww) and I was guided to the highway a block away
They can be very gracious people but also very stubborn. I don't blame the gentleman for requesting you to make his deliveries. We had some huge inroads politically at the last election (Federal) and the Bloc Quebecois were defeated by a large margin by our New Democrat Party largely due to the younger population being a little fed up with the old arguments.

And what makes you think France would want them without their Provincial wealth. When Charles De Galle stuck his nose and started stirring the pot we got a little miffed. The French Canadian heritage is an important one and yes we have bent over backwards to try and appease them but separation wouldn't work and I'm afraid that even if they multiplied that quickly the Muslims are multiplying even faster globally and will eventually take over through sheer numbers. We and most of the developed countries aren't increasing our population fast enough and have already gone past the point of no return. Glad it won't be in my lifetime (at least this incarnation).
They could have done anything they wanted if they had won the war but they lost and need to look up the definition of conquered peoples. This was done at a time when it was clear who won and who lost and now they just keep gripeing about seperation as if that would work. What they fail to understand is that if they did seperate they would get about 15 miles either side of the St. Lawrence River and the aboriginal people would get the rest. AND the want to use Canadian currency after seperating...good luck with that. Trudeau was spot on when he said they will never be satisfied (even when most of our Prime Ministers have been French CANADIAN). Even their own people in the province of Quebec are getting tired of hearing about it...look what happened in the last election. The Bloc is lucky to even be a political party right now. Oh well...glad to see you pick a topic that has some merit for discussion Cloud.
Strictly from a male perspective, but isn't a white wedding dress significant of virginity and no matter what age the bride is that would be the determining factor. However in todays permissive society I suppose she could where it being she hasn't been married before. Really just a matter of semantics. Her choice...it's her day
Living proof right here...over the last several years I have met some very nice ladies and about 20 months ago I met Cathy through this very site. We have been together ever since and now own a beautitul home together sharing a wonderful life. It does work, have patience and don't be in any hurry.
You are welcome to participate in the forums and I reitereate that it is the BEST way to get to know someone before initiating any dating contact. You get a real sense of who they are by their participation and then it isn't just stats and a picture but a real live human being that you have some idea about. Cathy and I certainly watched each others comments and I found hers to be delightful and intelligent so there ya go.
Now that you have asked an intelligent and not beligerent question, I would be happy to participate in a discussion with you. I too have been a member of "other" free dating sites and found that they are far too limited in their format...ie no forums like these to have fun in and get to know one another. If there are forums they certainly don't have the popularity of this site and having been here for a couple of years, I thoroughly enjoy the other members and their opinions and viewpoints and especially their sense of humour. This sit offers an intenational taste of membership whereas I found the other sites to be more localized (which is better if you are serious about dating) but lack the ability to get to know one another through the forum format. I have been lucky enough to find my lady love right here and we have been together for over a year and a half and going strong but I still participate in the forums and enjoy the gaming side of this site as well.
It's a long highway comprised of many states...are you going to do the whole thing? I've ridden the part through Pennsylvania including a small section called route 666 in the Allegheny National Forest (definitely had my sensors on full for that short ride LOL).
In my case Jac it had a profound meaning as I sobered up...the hope was that I could ever drink safely again...I believe it was the first of many paradoxes in my sober life. But thank God that I didn't give up hope in finding someone to love again, after all that's why most of us are here at CS and in my case it was hope fulfilled
