It's good...and even better to watch a real mans game!
USA were exccellent, ad have been all the supposed 'minnows'. I mean jeez, I didn't know Portugal had a rugby side but they were excellent!
Argentina beating those Galic lovermen...AMAZING! Just the best start to the World Cup imaginable...sets up some great pool matches now...and means France will probably have to play The All Blacks in the first round of knockouts.
South Africa are bullies, but with there backs and the great Sir Percy, they'll be hard to beat. Australia? Could be a force, but I agree it's looking like New Zealand v The Boks in the final.
The Europeans all look out of touch this time...even Ireland. But on their day I suppose they could provide a shock...or two!
I think that's a good point...constructive discussions focussing on ways to acheive peace and amity. It's easy to be cynical and negative in these situations, especially where Bush is concerned!
I'm an idealist...firmly left of centre but with a handful of right wing views. But most importantly, I try to find common ground with all...and can back up my views without sinking too low...I hope!
I'm kinda nonplussed Lorraine. Surely the sentiments contained within his opinions are honourable and worthy?
Certainly not worth mockery and disdain.
I don't want to offend you, and I can detect some kinda personal dynamic goin' on, so please jusdt take my question as it is intended...inquiring and sincere.
Important caveat you mentioned in your post...Bush HOPEFULLY does not represent the views of decent Americans.
I so hope this is the case.
America is generally a force for good my friend...but sometimes, your administrations f*ck it up...just a little.
I wasappalled by the anti-American sentiment present in the UK during the aftermath of 9/11...but once again, this is due to folk failing to distinguish between you as a people and the administration that represents you all.
I have to say I didn't find her particularly offensive and disparaging in her remarks about the male demographic...that was taken care of by some of the other contributors.
At least you're aware of it Shell, and know how it could affect the other person...fair play to you for being so honest.
Personally, I like a little time to pass. Even if I did feel strongly towards somebody in a very short time, I'd hope to display a modicum of self control and excercise restraint in consideration for how they feel. I suppose this would hopefully give it every chance of succeeding.
I'm always mindful of the the superficiality of an explosion of emotion within a brief timespan. JMO
RE: opinions on falling in love to fast
That's shiddy...to have been misunderstood in your enthusiasm...Good luck...and hopefully you'll re-discover that special spark one day soon!
