Left and right have been debating from the start, democracy is "government by the people", people are individual (thank God), people do not see things the same way, people do not always agree. Out of this diversity, progress is born. In the name of "evolution" and continued "progress", lives are sacrificed, lives are lost. It will always be so, unless we stop progress and agree to become sheep huddled together in a pasture with blank eyes and empty brains. Left blames right for everything bad, right blames left for everything bad. It is up to the individual to use common sense, analytical thinking (logic), to find truth. Perceptions are very dangerous and damaging, broadcasting without all the facts can result in a person or people appearing "stupid", running in a "pack" with others just to fit in is sad. There is "no" one answer, no one person on which to "lay" blame for what happened to Gabby and the others. It is nothing more than another loose cannon flipping out for" whatever" reason. Horrible, tragic, but, and unfortunately, will "always" exist. It is how we "handle" tragedy that matters. It is what we learn and take away from these occurrences that counts.
Interesting. Then is it not important to ask a few questions about "why" this tragedy occurred.
58,000 American Men and Women died in Vietnam, 300,000 wounded, many came home to boo's . I didn't fully understand the whole thing, but I never dis-honored any veteran. Yes it was a magical and tumultuous time. And yes, it is behind us.
Unlike you Connie, I've been here. In the good ol' US of A. And unlike you I grew up in a very Peaceful and Loving era here. A time before all this chaos began.
Yep, I see nothing but sadness in this whole shooting thing. The victims, their families. The "bye bye Ms American Pie" the "Age of innocence. Lost. All that has changed.
Sorry to bust your bubble there Al, not banned, just waiting for the next slaughter in Gaza, should be a good one. I expect it soon. But that has nothing to do with this thread.
I see this horrible tragedy as yet another display of mans barbarity. As in the middle east where people are shot dead daily these atrocities are now surfacing here in the US.
I feel genuine sorrow for all senseless deaths. Particularly for the 9 year old. In this case. I just see the chaos in the international arena now hitting home.
You should feel ashamed for even suggesting any other implications.
